Now just need reviews and availability. I liked my G1 970, and the G1 980 Ti's performed well in your review so this is my #1 choice atm for a 1080. But not dead set yet. Need some custom aib reviews!

Cards are inbound ... likely next week you'll start seeing the first AIB card reviews.

So much blurp in these press releases, can't they include the specs people want to know?
    Boost/base/mem clock?
    Power connectors?
    Power phases?

(gigabyte actually includes the last one, but many others don't mention anything)

Unfortunately that's down to you to do. A bit of homework is obviously needed before buying a £600+ gfx card.

I trust the G1 name but that's not what makes me buy from them.

Just wait till all HH reviews them all and then decide which one suits you.

The UK etailer i won't mention here has yet to post all of the cards Mhz but some are shown and the GTX 1080 DirectCU III Strix Gaming Aura RGB seems to lead atm with the highest Factory OC @ Boost Clock: 1936MHz. Most of the others just show 1733Mhz on the boost.

i can answer that one. it comes with only 1 power connector. it appears gigabyte is gimping their G1 series which we knew as top of the line, in favor of their new xtreme gaming line.

I would love to, but it took hours for most companies to even post spec sheets, and gigabyte still hasn't (or I didn't find it yet). Not sure where else to get authorative information, other then waiting more, which defeats the entire point! :p

Although from the specs I have seen, the ASUS does seem to look pretty good. Hope reviews come in next week.

That's one of the main reasons people come to Guru3D. We trust in HH to give us the full low down on all these new 3rd party cards and the wait is only a few days after release before H has most of the best cards reviewed.

Not just reviewed but stripped down naked and poked and probed until all is relieved. Only then should you make a decision on which product you want. Takes a lot of the guess work out of the equation.

Then you splash £600-£700 on the 1080 and are totally made up with it for a few months until the 600-700 Ti is released and 1080 drops down to 500-600 pounds and you feel gutted.

You have a Titan X, why would you even bother with 1080? If it was a 1080Ti i'd understand but that's not my business but still i wouldn't do it personally.
