I tried this version, the same message

  3. Yep - then best to leave it as is; anything else will void the Warranty. So - here's where this leaves us. You know the max for your card is 88C; and if you feel things are stable I'd say it's up to you.

If you feel you're having to go to unnecessary lengths to keep your card within its normal operating temperatures I'd still RMA it (meaning other than simply installing it within your case plus normal case fans etc) and then leaving as-is.

There are RMA forms online for that sort of thing; you don't need approval from customer support & getting into a back and forth with them regarding temps, overheating etc will just go round and around. Most of the time once the Video Card gets to warehouse they'll see the report and swap it outright.

Anyways; that's about all I can think of'

I think that it’s worth trying, even if it doesn’t help. Thank you for your help and time spent.
    P. s. in the future, if I find a water block or bracket for a video card, I will transfer it to water cooling.

Make sure you run that flasher program as administrator, sometimes it's required, otherwise it reports various errors (which may not be in this case, but you never know).

I know about this, and always pressed to use as administrator on both versions of the BIOS.
the video card I have is exactly 1.0 revisions, I bought it on September 24, maybe it was already with a fresh BIOS

What BIOS Version is shown when you run GPU-Z?

If you look at this screen, then BIOS F2 is installed. as K. S. said
but why it is not updated to the new F3 version I do not understand

  11. Honestly I have no answer for that one myself - that one threw me off too

It seems to me that something is wrong with this card, but I don’t know what exactly, the frequencies jump, the voltage is not displayed in the msi afterburner, and it heats up to 83C although I play only in 1080p.
on the other side of the benchmark it passes artifacts also did not see

    Hey,

I just made my account here to tell you i have the same problem.

Built my first pc , but i did worry about the GPU temp. After some research and tests by myself , i came to conclusion that the card will cap at 83 degrees ( atleast for me ). I was not happy with this. I bought some extra case fans , and the max temp after some long gaming sessions are between 75 to 78. And that is still too high.

Some friends of mine who owns a rtx 2060 and rtx 2060 super are sitting at around 65-70 max temp on 1440p 60fps.

If you have any other options , please let me know :)

I had a non-OC version of this card (v1.0), temps were the same as you.
OC Scanner/voltage table was not available until I flashed bios from the GB page.
But then another issue popped up, the fan speed was going up and down all the time from 30% - 55%, not smoothly unfortunately, it made a very unpleasant noise.
Also once FAN speed reached around 80% temps weren't really going down even at 95%.
The only fix was to set FAN manually via MSI Afterburner.
In my opinion, they should add one or two more heat pipes to this cooler, to get more comfortable temps.
(I don't have the card anymore, sold it and got lucky and paid only 20$ more to get RTX2060 SUPER AORUS version)

even without firmware, when the fans reach 46C, they turn on and off every second, and this chirp is terribly annoying. I put the msi afterburnet and they spin constantly. the feeling of a card that is unfinished everywhere

Yeah, seems this is normal for cheapest Gigabyte cards, it was happening also a year ago when a non-SUPER version of RTX cards was released, from what I read, not sure if later version 2.0 fixes that.

  17. It is possible raising these concerns in hopes for an RMA'd 2.0 version of the card? I cannot of course guarantee any of that - just a thought... since I am now thinking about all that @SpajdrEX and @AndreiCE are discussing amongst themselves plus what new member @Xurft contributed ... on the off-chance you get one of those... could sell it as a "Mint OEM - refurbished GPU" since you're raising so many concerns with this particular model...

removed the temperature limits in the msi afterburner and raised the voltage from 100 to 114. I wanted to see how much the temperature rises, in 10 minutes 85 degrees.
