Well, instead of waiting for PAX South... 3DR have revealed one of the titles they are working on today.
Fred described the game to me "Think Hotline Miami in first person" set in a cyberpunk future.
Woah, love the atmosphere but it's a tad too fast for me. xP i might get eye cancer before i finished it
its like cyberpunk, shadow warrior, mirrors edge, and ninja gaiden got put into a blender......
Might be... something happening. Keep an eye on 3DR today.
Demo is out on Steam. No FoV slider and frame rate is capped at 60 fps, if anyone finds a solution for that I'm all ears. Game runs on unreal engine 4 so there might be config tweaks...
Was watching the demo gameplay didnt want to download it and i must say it looks decent. Reminds me of Mirrors Egde and a Shadow Warrior mixup.
FPS Unlocked, FOV Slider Added - Demo Update
I actually enjoyed the demo! I loved the theme and music, they nailed it on that front. Performance was ok, turning the settings down one notch from the highest gave a much more consistent frame rate. I would buy it.
No set release date just yet, but it is coming later this year.
It was crap. Deleted after 10min.
That demo was pretty cool. Ran very smooth at a locked 60fps with maxed settings, minus RTX of course.
One hit kill game. Nope.
If the full game is like that then its definitely not for me. I can handle this type of gameplay in short bursts, but would quickly get frustrated.
Yes, the one hit kill is a consistent gameplay design for the entire game.
But, you haven't seen everything (gameplay wise) from the demo.
Sorry to hear some of you feel that way, honestly I was on the fence about the game until I tried it out. Once I played the demo, I was hooked.
Ghostrunner demo expires tomorrow.
your a glass cannon so yea the one hit thing goes both ways.
its not shadow warrior and its UBER twitchy.
good for the old reflexes but not something i think id play but in short bursts.
So long as the game is balanced properly, I'm fine with one hit kill.
Hotline Miami, Katana Zero... both great games. Incredibly fun to play... and... die in one hit.
Ghostrunner releases tomorrow!!!
Tons of reviews are popping up all over the place, and they are overwhelmingly positive.
Trust me, the game is fantastic... and the demo barely scratches the surface of what the game really offers.
I grabbed it on sale from GMG, always nice to have another ray traced game, but I think these developers know they are a Cyberpunk itch to scratch while waiting the last few weeks for 2077
