GF4 and cs probs (the meeting place)

probably in D3D with a X800 XT and OGL with a 6800 Ultra

but really wtf 100fps is like 5 percent of GPU of todays $500 gfx cards

Whats the real prob with CS is the coding if there was ever need of more than 100fps

I can probably say the game doesnt support SSE/SSE2 instructions at all?

 

Not to bring a very huge thread back from the dead, but has anyone found a combination of settings on a nforce2 motherboard and gf4 card?

Here is the weirdest thing... a few months ago, I went from 1gb to 1.5gb of pc3200 and I would get 100fps constantly no matter where I was at. Then one day I went in and it was back to the normal dipping down in smokes to ~1/2 of my refresh rate, etc.

The reason I started inquiring about this issue again is I was having some nv4_disp errors and had to redo my video driver setup. I got the newest drivers from the nvidia site.

Do you guys think it's better to use the older drivers for the gf4? Any particular ideas as to why when I went from 1gb to 1.5gb it was fine for a week or so? This is still the weirdest thing I've come across in my years with computers.
