Hi everyone, Im looking for a new gamming rig my budget is $1700 US. I would like to have something that will last me at least 6 months without needing to upgrade and still run everything on max settings. Im a high res player, and I always like my graphics to the highest. Im just looking for a compatible list of a high end CPU (Dual Core - Very High End), CPU Cooling (Heatsink + Fan), CPU Cooler Compound, GPU (perferabbly ATi - Very High End), Ram (DDR 800 - 2 gigs, 2 x 1gig), Motherboard. Thanks so much for helping ( I already have Sound Card - HD - P-Supply - Case picked out which adds up to $465.96 so thats about 1235 left to spend on everything else ) .

Get the P5W DH Deluxe wifi/ap instead of the P5B. P5w is better for Conroe (Allendale is better on P5B). I wouldn't get a WD 250gb. Get a Seagate, and you might be able to pitch 10$ for a 320gb one
just put a e6700 on a asus p5wdg2 pro with evga 7600gtko with 36G raptors in raid0 1TB storage, makes for a nice workstation cooler is big typhoon and I like the mounting system that uses the back plate, nice and secure new egg has the scythe 1000 on sale now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835185027 it is a good quality one too
If u really want a good gaming rig, get a AMD + NVIDIA combo.... Trust me, U wont be disappointed. Get the latest Dual Core AM2 CPU from AMD and go for Nvidia 7900GT... Good Luck...
What are you talking about. The best gaming rig at the moment is one based on the Core 2 Duo, and either the E6600 or E6700 are going to overclock to give a faster system than the latest AM2 dual core CPU. Edit// Even un-overclocked they will be faster.....
Yea he rlly has no clue what hes talking about. Top Gaming Rigs at the moment are Ati+Core 2 Duo...or SLI Gx2 from NV for super High res.

Ye; I just installed the patch for AM3, because it wouldn't finish the test before, once I installed the Xfire. I think my score of 159,984 with stock HS/F is pretty awesome! Anyone who's not going C2D, better do some more reading and research.:bounce:
