Im sure you have answered these kinds of questions far to often but i wanted to make sure of this before i fry the card. This will be my first ati card and i couldnt resist getting it after i saw you can flash to xt and it was combo special with my new processor.

    heres the one im getting
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814142052

so, to flash this i need an xt bios with same core and memory speed correct?

    so would this work
    Powercolor X800 XT (PCI-E) 256 MB Jun 16th 2004 11:52 PM Jan 23rd 2005 2:17 PM 500 / 500
    Samsung 2.0
I could have sworn i saw a connect3d bios for xt that matched my core and mem speed but cant find it now.

also do i just use the modified flash utility that the pro version uses?

It would be nice if someone made a tutuorial specifically for the gto (the ones now are pro and gto2).

thanks for any help. should get the card tuesday or wednesday along with new processor(amd64 3200+) mobo(msi nf4) and more memory.

Check out the stickied GTO thread above this one. That should help you...

I still maintain that you shouldn't flash anything you're not prepared to lose :D
