Back on topic: He is afraid of AI and where it is going. Speaking for my self I know that my first though process when encountering a new given situation is fear first. The brain moves fast evaluates the fear situation and no danger and then moves to logic and I can get on with it. No problemo. So for me if AI knows I will process fear first then it has the edge on me. Just like people try to use fear on us all the time, what was that move called, fear is the key! I don't think I would be to bothered if AI tricked me into drinking a can of coke I dint really want but I would be pretty annoyed if it tricked me into buying an overpriced Nvidia graphics card. Haha... You may not need to worry. But many designers and office writers may need to improve themselves. Otherwise, their jobs will be replaced by AI, or AI + Human. Thank about Amazon hired maybe 5K engineers working on Alexa, now using LLM, it may only need 1K engineers. AI definitely will affect our life, bad or good.
What happens when it start to think like Skynet? Or come to conclusion we can be categorized as virus on the planet? Both would result in the crap hitting the fan before aware of it! I am not fan of AI or computer controlling the worlds defense/weapons probably less so then humans. AI does have it uses but a learning ever evolving AI that has to internet and or controls such thing as weapons and defense is bad idea, can put all safe guard possible in place but it learning and evolving it can find way to bypass safeguards. Good the Bad the Ugly it coming, Will be intresting when we living in world like I, Robot or Westworld, or countless other such movies and we know how those ended. yah i am that person
