    Hello,
im disappointed, i lived that Geforce 2xxx / 3xxx are still available for Windows 7 64bit, so i bough Dell 5590 notebook with Geforce 2060, but i tried to download drivers from Nvidia web side.. and i found out that, its only for desktop GPU and if you select Geforce RT 20 Series (Notebook) on driver website.. only Windows 10 driver are available.

Its here some workaround, howto make drivers working for Windows 7 64? Its possible to make Desktop drivers working, Nvidia continue to say that mobile cards, are almost the same as laptop ones and they have special driver restrictions..
Idont care too much about Geforce experience and driver auto update etc..:(

Your notebook is not supported by windows 7 in any form what so ever

    • No usb 3 drivers (or C port managers)
    • no support for mshybrid gpu configurations
    • no support for skylake+ extended spectre mitigations
    • no support for avx2+

Notebooks are only supported using the OS they were sold with anyway.

This is official MS version, which is forcing people to use Win10.. and make their life easier..

My last laptop Kaby Lake Intel HD 630 + Geforce 1050 Ti - also havent official Win 7 support, but it worked with them nicely for 2 years.

I already have running Windows 7 on it, only some drivers missing its purely SW issues.

Wifi adapter is unsupported - by hard way, but i can exchange it.. but i cant replace gpu..

This is Nviida issues, no MS..

    Otherwise USB 3 solved:

Sound is working, Lan is working, Wifi will work with any replacable Win7 supported adapter, Touchpad is working with generic Syna. driver, so its really only videocards issue..

I made Intel UHD 630 working with Kabylake, i only wonder is it need some magic sauce because of Optimus.. My Kabylake NB, had in EFI hard Intel / Nvidia, both swith, new one does not.. so it would be problem in device manager i see both devices.

Intel HD 630 up and Unigine Heaven Heaven running:

So its really Nvidia product issues, because their drivers are too complex to someone make them moded.. and they are very anti customer. Last success mods for Nvidia was what? And some text so Inf to make Geforce 970/980/Titan working on XP and make Geforce 7 working with Windows 9x.. its very long time.

Update: Intel USB fixed too, i exactly what Nvidia USB 3 driver is doing its probably only for USB type-C port, other ports are Intel only.. and i life without it, but there is solution too:

Ok, video above is right, i made it working through inf edit and its working fine..

Its only Nvidia laziness and some stupid manager decision to not support it on laptops. They supported for lots of years SLI profiles for 300 thousands of SLI users world wide, but they can support 300 millions of Windows 7 users at the time. Yeah regarding last starts from this months there is 1,5 billion of Windows users and 18% of them are still using Windows 7 and there would be more if there wouldn't be these stupid software barriers, forced by SW upgrading obsession..

I thing that for Windows user is Windows 7 OS as backup still much better than Linux which is used by 1% of users as Nvidia supporting it in every way at least with official drivers.

If you want proper new geforce card name in device named, not just first in inf files (at present time Geforce 840M), as in tutorial..
