    There really trying hard to sell GeForce NOW to the none believers. I still see no point in it and to most people here unnecessary bloat.

    I suppose it has it uses for some people but i'm not one of them.

    They can integrate it where ever they want, I will never touch cloud game I like owning my games and hardware nor do like idea of have to subscribe to play my games.

    I am sure Nvidia want it take off they would alot cheaper for them maintance cloud servers and charge people monthly to play game.then keep manufacturing gpu. though i willing to bet if does happen they start charging ridiculously prices for sub like are doing with gpu now

    I remember people saying the same when Netflix and Prime were pushing DVD/BRD sales and rentals. How many people now buy a 4k player and disks, some but not many, It may just be the future and with GPU prices may be adopted sooner rather than later

    I hate this post of yours.... But only because you make a valid point darn it! If games where not dependant so much in latency maybe the game streaming would have been already the norm . And indeed it might become the norm at some point but I do not think enthusiasts will be on board anytime soon . So I guess locally running games might become a hobby for enthusiasts only.

    100%, and yes I do buy 4k BRD disks, I can't stream 4k and even if I could the sound quality isn't as good.
    The thing about PC hardware is that for some, it's more than just gaming. For me it's the process of being part of a project, to plan a new rig, to research, to build, to tweek, to modify.

    I love making my own rig too even if I do not gun for top notch things. Tweaking things is fun ! Although after I got to IT full time ....I tweak a lot less admittedly I often stop at the ...."good enough" point at my own rig :p

    yah i well aware of this where it all heading if Nvidia has any saying it, Atlest most Streaming these days is 1080p is pretty close to actual Bluray 1080p, but 4k not even close to 4k quality imo. This all fine for watching movies, but gaming no.

    I use to love build pc now anytime i asked to do so i just let big "ughh" Nvidia trying to destroy gpu sector with insane prices not helping, When I can buy the CPU/MB/RAM/PSU/HSF for price xx70 series something is wrong. Atlest I can when I buy from microcenter.

    I've just built a rig with an AMD FM2 CPU and a 1050Ti, 5he CPU is wced but the gpu uses a stock cooler. Great little rig for general use.

    I do not recommend GeForce Now for too expensive monthly because the disadvantages of GeForce Now - Extra Ultimate (+/-30euro (?) per month by virtual RTX 4090) are:
    -> cannot run various (old) apps/demos and old games (eg: GT Legends, Spider Man 3 (2007), Starsky Hutch...) / (old) benchmarks (eg: 3DMark Vantage, Aquamark3, ShaderToyMark, Sniper Elite V2...);
    -> NVIDIA server may be down for any issue and it may not be always 24/7;
    -> during 8 years, the virtual RTX 4090 would be more expensive (total ~2900euro(?)) than the my real RTX 4090 of 2000euro;
    ...

    :)

    It only offers a 4080 for $20 a month, cheaper if you sign up for 6 months. That has been upgraded from a 3080 a year ago so you automatically stay on a top end gpu, you don't need to keep buying new pc's to keep up. You don't care about local gpu prices or availability or any of that. You don't have to only play on your desktop pc but can use it anywhere that geforce now is supported.

    The Nvidia servers will be significantly more reliable then your PC - certainly if something dies on that you'll take quite a while to get up and running again.

    As for old games - well you don't need to use Geforce 4090 to play them as they will run on a potato so just use your current pc/laptop/whatever.

    The two real issues are latency and customisation imo. However as most of the world plays on a console and that has the same issues I doubt it's an issue for most gamers.

    For me it is quite tempting - why spend big money on a 4070 and associated PC bits when I could just keep my old 1070 and spend £15/month (if you sign up for 6). It's a lot cheaper then keeping my PC cutting edge. I could spend that money I saved on a really nice 4k screen and (latency aside) have a better gaming experience then I currently do.

    However, as most of the world doesn't have internet speed capable of using this service.

    Ok but I don't like "GF Now". I'll continue to upgrade to the next *real* videocard recommended in each next 5~7 years. Thank you. ;)

    Streaming games will be a thing of the future once they crack quantum entanglement and faster than light data transfer. Long way off but i think they'll do it one day in the far future.........

    Maybe not but i believe there's a moores law type of thing happening but for internet speeds and lower latency.
