Never had this problem, and they release a hotfix just to fix one thing, instead of a stable and efficient whql driver

 

You're exceedingly entitled for someone that should know drivers are provided as good will and not as a requirement

 

I understand the entitled part, and agree with it. BUT drivers ARE a requirement!

 

Thats literally the definition of a hotfix driver, to fix one (or sometimes two) particular thing. You get it!

 

Seen quite a few that do not seem to understand what hotfix implies.

 

And above all, if you DON'T have that specific problem, there is no need to update. Or do some have some kind of updating OCD?

 

You're only guaranteed that the on disk driver works.

Same can go for WHQL, if you don't play the adressed games nor ran into of the fixed issues there is no need to update, with exception for some games that use lame anti cheat protections that might have been set to check for the latest.

 

Well, I had this problem, glad they fixed it but I just reverted back to the previous driver.

Because it's stable and I am done for the time being with hidden "surprises"

 

Where is the Hotfix driver for games people actually play?Ive been getting driver crashes in call of duty black ops and modern warfare for at least 4 months now and I have never seen it mentioned in the drivers.

 

Sorry, but i dont agree, and i dont think you are running a more than 6 mounth driver

 

Its your définition, a hotfix can fix from one to 10 or more things, but i mean there are more things to fix than just this bug, that i dont have

You did not encounter sure but this does not mean others did not , and hotfixes are used to fix problems that can not wait to go threw certification or any other add-ons /secondary fixes to be implemented .

Yeah is Nvidia's mistake clearly they should add telemetry to your pc and live fix every single problem you encounter personally ! After all you are their only customer worldwide !

 

What? Drivers are a requirement, they even tell you to download latest from their website. Or do you just put video card in and dont use any drivers? This is dumbest crap I read in entire day.
