no similarities what so ever
what about your idle clock ?
i know some driver often causing "stuck" .... so clock remain low-to-mid instead lowest
if the clock normal... then no idea what causing the temp
anyway to all
what better driver for MHW ?
i read many people having bad performance with 398.82
and reverting to 398.36 give much better performance
how about this 398.98 ?
Thanks! BLOPS4 stuttering was really bad.
Question is if this driver fixes performance issues in MH:W too?
I also think that we'll get a few normal drivers (399.XX) and when the 1180/2080 series are officially released, we'll get that 400 series driver with hopefully a completely overhauled UI
Since the installation of this driver I have my PC that glitches after Windows "Turn Screen Off" and I have to Reboot to solve the problem. No problem with suspension instead.
Is This a Known Problem?
Gigabyte Geforce 970 - Win 10 1803
no issue here with these after display goes to sleep.(MSI GTX970 gaming).
What type of issue are you having?
I would try installing the same one again (clean install) and if it still happens, try going back to the latest nonhotfix one
I've seen this only once in a very long time. More than likely, the driver reset some setting, like having my desktop set above 144hz(does it for me) will not allow my GPU to downclock to 139Mhz, it stays at 1569Mhz( not full tilt but...) and this in turn causes my idle temps to increase.
Far Cry 4 strange stutters when moving, BF4 the same. 398.86 works perfect without any issues.
That was a sarcastic way of saying the current one is very old.
Not to mention NV Inspector features compared to this, and i was also saying more in the sense comparing to GeForce Experience appearance and how old the CP is.
Edit, sorry double post why no delete button
Odd. I am also running 17735 and had no issues installing this hotfix.
Hi, did you do a clean install or upgrade?
Is this true? Why would they not include it?
Finally got this driver to install.
Win10 Pro 64bit Insider build 17735
Appstore apps in full-screen (Gears of War: Ultimate, Forza 6: Apex etc) is off by 2 pixels, which means there's 2 lines at the top of my screen, which is showing my desktop.
Make a topic on Nvidia forums and report it.
I've used 398.86 and i'm using 398.98 now.
I found out that GSync causes stutters in the game, i disabled it in Inspector and seems a lot better, i'm going to clean install .36 with DDU and see.
seems an accidental omission.
This is a bug in the operating system, it is on the known list of issues, they claim they fixed it in 17728 but if you can see it, report it on the insider hub because clearly its not.
Ok i can confirm that 398.36 is much better for Monster Hunter World, however the stutter/hitching only went away when i disabled GSync in the game profile with Inspector.
The battles are a lot smoother too, i got a Ultrawide 120Hz and never seen above 60Hz before and feel weird sometimes, i thought the game bugged and went turbo mode but was just me getting used to the high FPS.
Volumetric Render disabled and VSync disabled ingame.
I didn't save 398.98 profile to compare, maybe a simple profile import will fix it since 398.36 had broken GSync and 398.98 doesn't, so this might be related.
I had upgraded from 1803 and installed the driver over it. That said, however, I've since rolled back due to some other issues with RS5 builds that were a bother.
Just installed 17738, 1 click on the full-screen icon seems to have resolved this bug.
