Seems a little useless to waste a hotfix on this. The eject button is hidden in my tray where it has never been used and never will be used. Cool for the people that were about to quit PC gaming over the issue though. :p

did you use the unzip method suggested to you earlier in the thread? because i've done it the exact way i suggested to you, and no backend service was installed.

here is the pic again if you missed it

Dunno, but I don't have any nv stuff, never had anything like that..

And I 've been using this extracted driver install since they started adding useless stuff or few times installer failed, think back in early r300 series..

I figured out exactly what happened yesterday, after installing these drivers for some reason "USB Selective Suspend" setting had been turned back on.
I always disable it, it was disabled until I tried this driver and the previous version.
The ports wouldn't even read a USB stick that I use daily.
I still think it's something to do with the external GPU thing nvidia are testing, but if anyone come across USB issues I can guarantee that's the problem.

I also did the cut down install that people are posting here, so much better..lol

From what you ppl know that those folders are the essential ones ?
    I know that Display.Driver is essential, but NVI2 ?

    What about Update.Core, Display.NVview, Display.Optimus

I mean how u know what to keep ?

experience and logic. you posted earlier you only install driver and phsyx. so that's what I showed you.

in each folder that isn't already clear from folder title, there are .inf files that give the exact name of what it's for.

update.core is not needed at all (but doesn't affect anything anways without other folders), as somoene else corrected me. and nvi2 contains the files for the installer itself, like graphics for the buttons, etc.

This isn't something that was just discovered. I've been installing drivers like that for over 2 years now.

I will give it a try. Also, in update.core, right there its that nvidia backend. So, u put that picture, guess i shall remove update.core also ? Like -Tj's- picture ?

I have the K95 with my 2 980's and have no issues with the keyboard.. Something i note tho, this keyboard is sometimes finicky with the USB Ports, so these drivers with this eject thing in and out may be doing something to your system thats adversely effecting that.. just a thought.

Yeah I figured out exactly what happened yesterday (posted above), after installing these drivers for some reason "USB Selective Suspend" setting had been turned back on.
Not even usb stick would been seen in my Intel USB 3 ports without going into device manager and hitting refresh, yet the Asmedia USB 3.1, VIA Usb 3 and USB 2 ports didn't have the problem, disabling "USB Selective Suspend" fix everything.
Strange though it's the first thing I turn off, and was off until I installed the new drivers (didn't have any issues until then), it's no biggy, it's just something to keep my eye on if it happens again..

I will admit the K70 does work a lot better in a USB 2 port, just means you need to plug both cables in, with 10 USB ports on the X99a Gaming 7 that's no problem..lol..

yes you can, but even with the update core folder there, no backend is installed as it depends on other things already deleted.

so you only need display driver, phsyx, and nvI2 folder, as well as those 5 files outside the folders, if all you want is driver+phsyx.

What was wrong with modifying the setup.cfg file and unchecking what you need?

Colors look better with this driver.

I can confirm! These drivers turned the pixels of my screen into quantum dots.

Nothing. Just make sure you 'eject' the card first before installing this set.

If you have multiple monitors, you need to change from "Duplicate these displays" to "Extend these displays" or "Show desktop only on 1" from right click desktop and then screen resolution. Then you can change back to duplicate these displays.

Make sure you install Intel Technology Access and this old beta version Intel Management Driver to make them buttery smooth and even more vibrant. No more hitching and stuttering and shuttering, whatever that is supposed to mean :)
