It will take some time to get it though (weekend). Fingers crossed that it would be great chip with Samsung or Hynix vram. Edit: Hmmm... Looks like I possibly could get it for even cheaper.
I'm glad to see you got another 780 definitely a top notch card that can hold its own. Since Maxwell is delayed I might just sli in the future instead of waiting for the 800 series. Time will tell though I haven't had any game give me trouble since I got this so upgrading isn't really necessary. Hope your oc on that card is above your expectations
It's up and running now. DC2 is by far the quietest and most efficient cooler I've had. No coil whine issues either. So far the GPU seems to have lots of potential. Sadly VRAM is Elpida so I have low hopes when it comes to OCing VRAM. It looks l have to raise the power limit from 110% to something higher though. Is it possible to DIY that? So far 1,2 GHz has been stable in Firestrike, 3DMark11 and Heaven 4.0. Max temp was 69c and highest RPM was ~1750. Stock volts so far (1,139 V). ASIC is 67.7%. What I think about ASIC? Higher doesn't mean better. Although I'm not sure yet if these clocks are stable.
Use KBT 1.27 it works with B1 chips my 780 Gaming has 315W as 100% and 500W as 150% just like the Skyn3t vBIOS. Just none of odd stability problems his BIOS caused me.
I'd assume this would do the trick (changing the max): I think 120% should be enough for me (i.e. 300W). At the moment power limit goes up to 110% so that should be it. 60% is min at the moment. Why oh why this had to have Elpida...
1200 is not bad mine does about the same., I do have a modded bios but I leave it around stock anyway most of the time so it makes little differance
I'm not sure if I even want to try higher... The GTX 780 GHz Edition that I had neede 1,2V to be stable at 1,2GHz. So far this is doing 1,2GHz just fine at stock voltage! By the way, I was able to OC the memory a decent amount: it looks like 6660 MHz is stable and error free. Not too bad considering that I was expecting it to fail after even a small boost. If these clock are stable, this could be one of those cards that could hit 1300MHz.
i have my gtx currently at 1300 mhz at 1.212v but o have to put the fan at 90 per cent and it howls like a blower fan and the temps are at 79c bf4 (skynet bios) a1 steping and i also have crappy elpida ram,My point is 1300mhz not worth the noise !!!
And how much fps do you gain from idk 1200mhz (boost) vs 1300mhz (boost), is it worth it? Im still kinda eying on PNY XLR8 Enthusiast, it appears they used special binning and chose only the best GK110 chips, can do ~1230mhz np and cold too http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/foru...5715-pny-geforce-gtx-780-oc-3gb-review-7.html http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/15/pny-geforce-gtx-780-xlr8-oc-review/10
About ~8 % better performance. Judging by the noise test that it is way louder than DC2. Remember, dB is logarithmic unit. Though, apparently that noise was coming from coil whine...
Yeah just noticed that, well I will have to save up some €€ first lol, start or end May I'll get some extra cash and then it could be doable
That's just avg. results overclock wise but at least here in the states they have good warranty...and the place is 15 minutes away from my house. The thing that sucks is they do not allow anything done to the card cant overclock cant mod cooling no flashing bios nothing
I just purchased this last week, when the price was $509.99 Reviews. http://www.techspot.com/review/738-gigabyte-geforce-gtx-780-ti-ghz/page3.html http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2014/03/14/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-780-ghz-edition-review/3
yeah that voltage lock sucks though.. Will see, I would love to get my hands on 780Ti but its just too much atm, min 550-560€..
