Over at Asian website Coolarer initial numbers of the GeForce GTX 750 Ti, that is rumored to be on Nvidia's new Maxwell architecture (still on 28nm btw) have appeared. You'd expect the card to si...

Some Compute performance would be nice to see along with some GPU specs.

The performance of the card, seems underwhelming if true.

Granted the drivers are unofficial, but I thought Maxwell would leap-frog Kepler in terms of performance while consuming less power.

Could official drivers increase performance by 30% over these rumored numbers? Doubt it.

@ James Frazer, if you see a problem in an article report it politely, there is no need to be rude. Sometimes articles are posted, and edited afterwards :)

Where does it place the GTX650Ti Boost?

I would love to see James Frazer trying to make the same report in Dutch and let us critique his attempt.

Looking at the performance, I find it hard to accept. I hope this introductory card is underperforming due to drivers. We have seen this in the past.

Regardless of 750 Ti performance, I always get excited when new architecture hits the market.

Pretty weak card but it's just a GM107.

Yeah.. Should be ok for a physx gpu, that's if you have your main gpu that's a little weak.

Just a heads-up: the 'removed' comment posts are still visible on the article.

As long as this 'GTX 750Ti' performs lower than a GTX760, then there is no conflict. Direct comparison between two series might not be possible sometimes. And, perhaps, there will be a GTX750 Ultra to sit between this 750Ti and a 760?

Nvidia dropped the "ultra" moniker years ago. Also, there's no point calling a low end card ultra. Or to have so many similar cards performance wise. That segment of the market is already over saturated.

Indeed. I even find funny how they call a 650/750 a "GTX", it's just a GT for midrange and 760 and up are GTX.

It's a 750? What did you expect? Better numbers than the 780? How do you even know what it has under the hood to achieve those numbers?

Also the roadmap you linked clearly shows performance per watt. It's entirely possible for nvidia to cut power by a third and maintain the same performance and that graph would still be accurate. Obviously that probably didn't happen, but saying it has "3 times more horsepower" isn't accurate at all.

nvidia wouldn't let the 750ti cannibalize the 760 sales by having it be faster, though i'd think it's odd that it doesn't beat the 660 perhaps with final drivers.

and it doesn't show the power consumption, Maxwell is supposed to deliver more power per watt then Kepler and that's what i'm mainly interested in.

looking for a intermediate card till the 8 series arrives since my 470 is getting it's ass handed to it left and right by my modded skyrim and some of the more resent games (though the vram is what seems to be cripling me the most.

i'd wait for final review to see what's actually used and what it's capable of (oc).

could be a lot of disabled clusters or perhaps none who knows.

we don't know anything about this card, so the performance numbers are irrelevant. it could be Nvidia's cheap, cool and efficient low profile and single slot card to fit the trend of low profile PCs.
I mean, if this card is priced right, it could be interesting for a lot of budget players who want to benefit from the latest stuff (shadowplay and all)

Considering GTX660/ti or even 270x can be found for 170-180€ it really need to priced lower, but knowing nvidia that may not be the case.

    Time will tell...

Nvidia is releasing low end first it seems. They don't have to lower prices on gk104 gk110 releasing this stuff.

I didn't expect that the 750ti would be slower than a 660 even with updated drivers. Man maybe Nividia will add some tweak the card some what to make it faster than the 660.

    I don't get why you didn't expect that? The 650 isn't faster than a 560 and a 550 isnt faster then a 460 and even the 450 isn't faster then a 260. Why would a 750 be faster than a 660?
