    read the 680 lighting review.

Wonderful review, with the overclocking features and voltages enabled, this card should fly.

Im just wondering, for the card to reach 1300-1400 core clocks, its definitely possible but would you think it will be necessary to have the gpu reactor onboard? most likely so i would believe.

running 2 lightnings in SLI would be perfect, but if any one wanna go 3 way SLI or even 4 WAy sli, the gpu reactor and its pcb will definitely hit the other cards..
i run the 670 4gb evga sc in 4 way sli driving 3 27" screens at 7680x1440 and i know what the gaps are like between cards. from the pics, even the lightning's backplate seems further from the pcb compared to the evga 760 backplate-pcb gap.

the only way I can see this happen is with custom full waterblocks for the MSI lightning, which I doubt may be made unless the cards sales are really humongous.

lets hope they release the full waterblocks soonest , before the gk110 is released..

This is a great very well engineered card. Even though Nvidia limits overclocking it really doesn't hurt the ability to overclock it and get much better gaming performance from it. Because the first hundred to two hundred MHz seems to be where the majority of extra performance comes from, and that's all it takes to improve your gaming experience. Any more and it's just good for trying to beat benchmark records. After that first one or two hundred MHz you seem to get considerably less return on investment. Nvidia obviously knows how much ram their cards need for high resolution single monitor gaming. Because the extra ram is not really doing anything for it. I believe it would help on a three monitor setup. Doing reviews on 4 GB cards with a single monitor seems to be pointless. I wish he would at least run three game benchmarks on the top games with three monitors just so we can see what the extra ram does for it. Like for instance BF3, Crysis 2, and Metro 2033.

Why the 7970 Ghz is missing in half the charts?

One question tho, is it worth to upgrade from Sabertooth P67 Rev B3 to this board?

You'll struggle to fit a CPU into it.

You asked if you can upgrade your motherboard by replacing it with a gfx card and want serious answers? :)
