    Underwhelming,

I know its launch price, but atm OCUK's cheapest 590 is £85 more than their cheapest 6990. It's a nice card, but the price needs to roughly match the 6990 to be competitive imo.

If it gets priced along side the 6990, its lower heat and noise levels would sway me.

Dont no why they didnt add the extra 50mhz or so....have to say the dual gpu cards are getting pretty boring, better off with 2 cards .

Good review, but you didn't list what drivers were used on the AMD cards.

Quite happy with how the 6990 has stood it's ground, makes me glad that i never waited for the 590.

Now for the next gen cards.

    You? :p

Or did you decided to stick with the 295's?

Overall, two pretty cool reviews. I look forward to seeing the card fly on a waterblock. Should be pretty cool!

If I was in the market for a dual card, my heart would go for the 590, my mind would choose the 6990.

kinda neat that while nvidia does really really slightly better in dx11 games it loses in 3dmark 11 and wins vantage by some 1000 points tho 6990 with the switch would bring those home too. in xfire 6990 takes it away easily.

tho 590 = silent and takes bit even if only a little bit less wattage :p

    performance vs quality as usual...

you prefer more fps and optimizations(red), or a standard cool and quiet card(green).?

you want just fast gaming or gaming with 3d+physx...

for sure, the extra money 590 costs worth it...but it's a matter of fanboyism and taste...

    you choose...red or green side...???

technically speaking both cards have superb technologies...they are almost equal...

personally, i prefer a quiet and cold pc...10 degrees difference, it's a hole clock multiplier for a cpu...it's not a small difference people...i wish amd made a more expensive card with better cooling solution...cheap aircooling is bad...for generations now...!!!

    ok good reviews boss
On launch day the card is a tad slower at high rez thats very good tbh, only can get better.
I'm not touching one of these unless i win a contest or the lottery thuo.

BTW Point of View should be thanking you for not over volting these cards to the moon.
