Old post for reference
This new Game Ready Driver provides the best day-1 gaming experience for ICARUS, which utilizes NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA RTX Global Illumination (RTXGI) to maximize performance and image quality. In addition, this new Game Ready Driver offers support for the latest new titles including Chorus and Halo Infinite.
New Features and Other Changes
Added support for the GeForce RTX 2060 12GB
Fixed Issues in this Release
[Red Dead Redemption 2/Doom Eternal]: The game crashes with TDR or the system crashes
while running the game.
[Doom 3 BFG Edition]: The games shows corruption upon launch.
[You Tube]: The YouTube web site randomly displays extreme contrast/gamma while idle or
during video playback.
[NVIDIA Image Scaling]: After performing a clean install or over install over version 496.49,
NVIDIA Image Scaling resolutions do not appear in the game.
Games do not launch correctly on GeForce GTX 750 Ti when NVIDIA Image Scaling is enabled.
[Notebook]: Black screen may be observed on some Optimus notebooks with 1440p/165hz
panels when in discrete GPU mode.
[Notebook]: eDP panel cannot be lit when booting to the desktop after switching to discrete
Using Adaptive Vertical Sync while G-SYNC is enabled may result in random black screen.

I assume no NIS changes in this release outside of what's mentioned in the "Fixed" section?
[Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition]: After attempting to change resolutions, the resolution does not change and the game falls out of IFlip mode. To apply the new resolution, press Alt+Tab.
[Supreme Command:Forged Alliance/Supreme Commander 2]: Performance drop when there is mouse movement.
[Deathloop][HDR]: TDR/corruption occurs in the game with Windows HDR enabled. If this issue occurs, toggle the Windows HDR setting.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed may crash on courses where players drive through water.
In multi-monitor configurations, the screen may display random black screen flicker.
[HDR][G-Sync]: Mouse pointer gets stuck after turning on HDR from the Windows Control Panel or after toggling G-Sync from the NVIDIA control panel. To work around, click the mouse (right or left button). The mouse cursor will be sluggish for a few seconds before returning to normal operation.
[NVIDIA Advanced Optimus][NVIDIA Control Panel]: After setting the display multiplexer type to “dGPU”, the setting is not preserved across a reboot or resume from S4.
[NVIDIA Image Scaling][Desktop]: The screen moves to the upper left corner on cold boot when Image Scaling is applied to the desktop. Do not apply NVIDIA Image Scaling to the desktop. It is intended only for video upscaling or for games which do not run with a scaling resolution unless the same Image Scaling resolution is applied on the desktop.
[NVIDIA Image Scaling][DirectX 11 video apps]: With Image Scaling enabled, video playback is corrupted or results in a system hang after performing an HDR transition.
A little off topic but can you now install the dch driver over the top of 472.12 standard without uninstalling the standard driver first? In the past it wasn't recommended.
I believe you can. Try it.
I still get a haze effect around moving objects. with dlss enabled. can it be fixed.....
Thanks for the link. I'll give it a try later. Have to crawl under my house today to do a plumbing repair lol
really slow DL's... only getting 2.1 Mb/s... probably just peak traffic but even so this is a massive update @ 830.5 Mb
even so i wish more of the games i play have DLSS
Here's a random blast from the past: Half-Life 2 Episode One and Episode Two profiles are incorrect.
Both of these are being ran from the same "half-life 2/hl2.exe" file but the driver expects the exe to be in "half-life 2 episode one" and "half-life 2 episode two" folders.
Thus these profiles do not work for Ep1/Ep2 while the profile for original HL2 work for all three of them.
Sure, by the respective game developers who has integrated DLSS in a way which leads to edge reconstruction break up on motion.
Getting this blue dots whit this driver in Flight simulator!
Maybe you pushed graphics too far or better change driver to see if its specific to this one
Any improvement to BF2042 or should I just leave updating?
no running whit the settings i always do!, i just notice this after driver update i did a roll back to check
i see more ppl have the same prob!..
New Nvidia 497.09 Always CTD - Community / General Discussion - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
So, tested the driver (attempted) this time after a reboot I only get a black screen after OS loads.
On DP 1.4DSC I only get black screen when the OS finishes loading. before that point I see all the normal behavior.
reverting to anything 472 and below resolves the issue.
This 496/497 dch implementation has only brought problems to my builds. Reverting to standard driver (non-dch) 472 and pre seems to solve the issues
I've not seen anything other than issues from 496 to now. Hope nvidia can solve these things.
10/bit issues, ms store appx issues, black polygon issues in 2D, and now a blank screen when os finishes loading.
instead of the standard DCH install - manually installing driver and manually installing the control panel (instead of appx/MS store) seems to be the work around.
The game feels much smoother with these, mate! Try them out!
Expect a hotfix within a couple of days.
Or try 510.06, i felt its very stable in game:
Yes you can. The only difference between standard and dch is the packaging method. The drivers and installation are the same and can be interchanged at will.
