Game Ready Drivers provide the best possible gaming experience for all major new releases, including Virtual Reality games. Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak and bug fix is included for the best gameplay on day-1.

This latest GeForce Game Ready driver delivers day-one support for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Need For Speed Heat, and enables G-SYNC Compatible support on LG’s 2019 B9, C9 and E9 4K OLED TVs.

This, just like the 436.xx, 440,xx and other 441.xx series drivers introduces slowdowns and hitching on Volta for DX12 games such as SOTTR, ROTTR, and UE4 titles such as Echo, Ethan carter, Hellblade, etc.
Vulkan has also seen a slowdown in titles such as Wolfenstein Colossus, Doom, Strange Brigade, Blood, AOTS, Talos, etc.

Reverting to 431.86 or 431.70 seems to resolve these issues to pre-436-441 levels

Also, NVCPL issues and stability were introduced in any driver series after 426.xx
A significant change took place in nvcpl after 426.xx in VOLTA and TITAN XP
    STANDARD DRIVER download -not DCH

Driver packages that do not exhibit the noticeable slowdown / hitching / inconsistent performance in most games for me on Volta include (when compared to 436-441 series)
    399.40, 416.xx, 426.xx, and 431.70-.86.

399.40 albeit older, still delivers best , stable , fastest, and consistent performance on volta.

ALL OTHER DRIVER RELEASES SINCE 399.40 THEN HAVE BEEN STEADILY REMOVING PERFORMANCE FOR VOLTA

I have been consistently and methodically posting findings on Volta compromises/performance drop since driver 399.40 and have not seen any improvement. I have tested on multiple platforms and mutlitple configurations (SINGLE and multiple card configuarations as well as single and mutliprocessor configuarations) and multiple OS (in windows 10 releases) versions - BUT the performance drop and issues have been consistent.

    thank you

I still don't see the option to enable G-Sync for my GTX 1080 with LG C9.

Do I have to wait for LG to update their firmware as well?

I heard LG were to release a firmware update... My bet is you need both the new firmware and this driver

G-sync compatibility with the C9 only works with the 2080 series cards, not the 1080 cards.

Wait indefinitely for R* or roll back to older drivers.

Do you use msi afterburner or more importantly riva tuner? If so, go into riva tuner and add the gta5 exe and the launcher and set detection to high.

This sooo much! I thought it was just me but latest drivers performance are really crap. Massive slowdowns and stuttering, you can see the GPU usage drop considerably.

Going back to 431.70 fixes it for me

    Hi,

I'm trying to find that 399.40 driver you talk about, but i cannot find it anywhere. Nearest i find is 399.24 (have it on my HD)

You know where i can find it or even a place where i can download it?

Would be great if you could link me in right direction.;)

    Cheers
