    BSOD crash randomly when gaming.
Page fault in non paged area, is the type of error that shows.
Occurring with nvdisp4.dll, or something like that, is what it shows.
This occurs with every 2nd or 3rd driver set released without fail for me, for about 2 years now.
I knew something was up when I had to install them twice, and both times the Windows XP loading screen had a weird "glitch" appear on the right side just past the loading bar, after the third pass of the bar across the screen.
This was with two downloads to make sure one hadn't corrupted.
Reverted back to 258.96, issue resolved.

Since this option "clean install" i have to boot 2 times till run is fine. And after this i have to reinstall my soundcarddrivers. :D Sometimes I have to install new nvidiadriver 2 times with clean install and only adjust microphonesettings. The driverinstall makes, what it want. lol. To go on save side i reboot after all looks like it works. And sometimes i reboot after rebooting. :bonk:

I wished I had seen this thread before making a thread, but here it is.I never had any problems before the newest driver install. All of a sudden my 8800 GT stops working.I have a GTX 470 SC right now, but I don't have any physx.Anybody else encountered this issue?

    just reinstall it.

yea had the same thing few times..

it happened if i let nvidia driver installer install it, and since then i always install phsyx manually at the end of driver install,.. but now i said i'll try new installer and it happened again with 260.89, i tried to run 3dmark vantage and it said phsyx isn't installed..

no just physx and reinstall it again.

Its located in extracted folder- c:\nvidia\driver

you can run physx installer and it will automatically remove it then reinstall it again., if you want to be 100% sure then run ccleaner (registry cleaner) before you reinstall it again, to remove any missing/shared dll's.

I did a fresh install with XP on my dual core, and using these drivers, no issues. Games works great. I still have a problem with a older game , due to the newer drivers, but i will just save that when i pick up my 6850 soon.

No seriously issues as always with nvidia of course tho.

this comes and goes at nVidias' whims :(
i actually treat it like a present box opening on each new driver, "hey maybe now it sticks" :bang:

Just use Monitors own scaling. It´s better anyway and sticks too.

Unfortunately my monitors inbuilt scaling does not work correctly so I need to use Nvidia Scaling because it does work, except it doesn't want to work anymore for me?
