    You mean the official Auzenforte drivers?

    Which Auzenforte drivers should I use for my X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty?

    FYI I still have periodic stutter during video, all formats and Using Asus Essence STX Analog outs, so no, it has nothing to do with nV HDA.. 258.96 cures it every time, and nV got this info a "million" times during beta testing, and still opted to ignore it and release it. This combined with never setting correct Gamma/Brightness etc. and generally unstable Control Panel, makes this release completelly nonsense.. Atleast ATI/AMD ownes up to the errors they have with a new release and quickly release a hotfix or admit the error publicly, will nV do this, not very likely...

    LOL yeah I downloaded both the X-Fi support pack and the X-Fi titanium install disc, but I installed the support pack first; which was a mistake because it installed stuff that I never even use. Oh well, this is the first time I'm using Daniel K's drivers :)

    I burned the image to a CD though, so the next time I'll use that instead..

    Good thing though, is that the drivers WORK and solve the issue of the static I was getting with the Creative drivers.

    So thanks for the help dudes :thumbup:

    BTW, does Daniel K host his own website or anything?

    I agree , i was using pax which was great for analogue sound but once i went to optical it made things a right mess.

    Just avoid any mod packs altogether is my advice

    *sigh*

    Unfortunately the problem has returned :bang: I did a mild overclock to 800/1600 and I could hear the static noise again during gameplay.

    Carfax if your bios has pci latency option, try tweaking it to reduce the static.

    yea try 64clocks, but i kinda doubt it since he's using pcix soundcard.

    It's known issue with SLi and pci(x) cards, you could try and change IRQ for pcix but i kinda doubt it its possible, i think its only for pci..

    You could try these few things- use different pcix slot or different driver;

    but before you do all that; first try this go to device manager >open soundcard tab and delete the card, don't check also remove the driver;
    reboot and let the system reinstall the card, reboot again and see if that helps.. btw it will set all you sounds to max volume and everything to default. This helped me with cod5 waw and voice enabled servers - before it crashed with pbdll error..

    Yeah I have no PCI latency setting in my BIOS, since my card uses PCI-E..

    So if latency is the culprit thats causing this problem, do you think that overclocking the PCI-E bus could help alleviate it; since a higher frequency typically results in lower latency?

    I'm not at home now, but when I go home in the morning I will set the PCI-E bus to 110, which is the upper safe limit and see if it helps.

    Good Lord, no, don't even worry about the PCI-e bus....that's def not problem.
    Could be irq.

    Btw I get a little static, not much tho.

    Easier to just reinstall old drivers. If no static, then you know why...

    Interesting link....thx, however I don't agree with the bold.

    IMy understanding is that IRQ priority makes no difference to performance...
