You don't seem to understand again.

First of all, there is no NvXDSync service but there is a PROCESS.
And you missed my explanation where I meant that WHEN disabling the nvidia driver helper service, you can then start up control panel and it DOES NOT start up the NvxDSync process anymore.
So they are linked to each other.

That's why I post the question again, why is the Nvidia driver helper service needed ? As when disabling it now, it ALSO disables the NVxDSync process, and for me, Control panel STILL works and opens then, even WITHOUT the NVxDSync process being loaded (because it stops loading when Nvidia driver helper service is disabled).

So nothing you said made sense to me tbh

There you go, triple lol !

I dare you to try 'cleaning' your chipset drivers before uninstalling them properly.

Works fine for me, well doesn't work fine, not much works at all, but all i need to do is reinstall them, or reboot Windows again, and all is fine.

My FPS drastically increased in Final Fantasy 14! Haven't tested other games. Also works great in Left for dead 2. Now my 480 is really cooking. Now I really wonder what the non beta drivers are going to offer.

wtf...in this whole thread there is not one comparative bench. Benching this driver alone does not tell us much when we don't know how it ran before :S

Someone do a public service and inject some objectivity into this thread.

    260.63 v. 260.89 pick a game any game...

Were the 260.63's terrible for you? I got tons of sutters in FFXIV with them. These are are running good. No change in benchmark score thought, but I guess that's useless since it's an alpha build.

These 260.xx drivers might be faster, but the quality is as bad as ive never seen before ... with that i can also win a performance boost on any driver :bang:

yea IQ is good didn't notice any worse quality, although i always use high quality instead of default quality.

Bu i noticed a bit slower perf. in L4d2 and like i said before Cod5 waw, in both cases it runs a little worse when in heavy battle compared to older drivers, now im hitting sub 50ish fps or even lower, usually its sub 60ish fps..

Although they felt smooth and all, but i noticed that drop because the mouse behaved slower. Im not sure what to do lol, i might go back to 259.32 or to even earlier... damn you nvidia, and your strange pos driver optimizations.

clean your glasses because the IQ of al 260 drivers are more blurry than still the WHQL one from nvidia,s site, they boost the fps in games, but they suck out the IQ in all of the games specialy with metro 2033 and with any 260.xxx driver it looks like ****, low res textures, compressed lighting

the best driver for my gtx 460 SLI are the glorious 258.96 WHQL, Nvidia is not dumb they not releasing the 260 driver yet because the image quality is broken in those!

i prefer better sharper crispier graphics than a bit faster frames per second

i play all my games on 1920x1080 with my samsung xl2370, and i play always on the highest settings, so i stay with they 258.96 till they releasing the 260 drivers on public official from Nvidia,s site, ore Guru,s 3D WHQL,s

nope i dont see it, maybe its because i use high quality and texture set to clamp.

Although i saw a bit better filtering in COD5 waw if i forced AF through the driver instead of using it ingame..

Last time i had such AF issue (they broke it) or a bit worse IQ was wit 185.85 driver. And few times with 191 and 197 driver it looked a bit washed out but nothing serious.. Maybe they're doing the same $hit all over again with 400 series.

Happens to me also. Only way around it at the moment for me is just to run the drivers again in windows. You shouldnt need a restart.
