Love the new installer, the clean option makes things SO much easier.

But what exactly is "NvXDSync.exe"? New to me...

I know not many people play Crysis (the original) anymore, but can anyone with an SLI set up that has Crysis, tell me what kind of performance you're seeing with these drivers?

I'm getting horrible performance out of these! I mean, it stutters so much it's practically unplayable. :bang:

The 259.32 drivers however are quite smooth in comparison..

And this driver supposedly has Crysis Warhead optimizations in it!

So Run 3DMark Vantage and have now the highest score i have with drivers.

I now get 25073 for GPU, and when i OC my GPU's to 815-1630-4200 MHz i get 27670:)

Also no problem with blur or strange colors with a HDMI cable.

So far so good, will try other Benches later.

I'm not running an SLI rig, but I'm sure I'm getting far worse performance in Crysis with these drivers.
I've been playing Crysis to test my 480GTX and it was an amazing experience using the 258.96 drivers....super smooth with no issues.

However, with these latest drivers, I'm sure there has been a performance decrease.....:(
On everything else though, the new drivers are performing great!

I will benchmark and find out....

well finally got it to install. Guess it was my untangle server blocking me from finish downloading the file. BFBC2 still shutter for me. The previous leaked 260 driver was better. My GPU usage was at the high 90. With this one i'm dropping it to 85-87ish% and it constantly going up and down from 85ish to 90ish.

    Thankful

Among other things, I give Nvidia high marks for the new installation GUI. Also, it was great to get the 60Hz properly assigned to my monitor. Have not tested game/benchmark performance, but will soon. Oh yeah (by the way), if nothing else; I'm glad to see some new Nvidia drivers offered on their website!

    No significant improvement

Mass effect2 had screen abnormality like partial black textures with mixed sample AA methods (aka 8xS, 16xS and so on)
with previous driver(258.96 WHQL or whatever the hell it was, don't remember the numbers), now 260.63 fixed it.
Hell, now I can apply AA_MODE_METHOD_MIXEDSAMPLE_6X_SKEWED_6TAP (=6xSQ) via Nvidia inspector,
strange... I thought that 6xSQ thing was unusable.
However, it seems like 258.96 had better supersampling AA result than 260.63 at least in Mass effect2.

Frame rates wise, since I usually don't give a dung about 1~2 or 2, 3~4 fps differences in game, I didn't check
the exact fps but since I've had everything running at 60fps (vsync on) with previous driver sets, unless there are
    noticable difference it doesn't matter.

ME2 & Mafia2 so far so good with these driver set. Mafia2 is still having screen abnormality with supersamling though.
I haven't checked with WIN7 yet, but I don't have any game installed on it....... don't give a dang about DX11....YET.

Thumbs up with all new installer thing, now I can get rid of that annoying HD audio for god's sake.

EDIT : Hell, if these set's having worse performance with gtx480 running crysis like people said, instant rolling back for me
I'll have a look with the original crysis after work.

About the same score in the FFXIV benchmark. The actual game was horrible. Crappy framerates and was skippy as all heck. Also, flat panel scaling seems to be gone? Can't start the control panel at all without the service running... New installer options are nice... that's about it. Going back to 258.96.

Anybody else lose the ability to adjust a connected TV via Adjust Desktop Size and Position in the control panel? I have an SD TV hooked up to my secondary card (8600) and I'd love to recenter the bastard. Funny enough, my LCD still shows up there even though its not adjustable.
I don't know if it was still avail in the 260.61's as those were BSOD city for me.

I did a fresh install of Windows XP about what 2 months ago, been using the same drives 256 ever since. I think its wise to do a complete install of the OS with the new drivers to see accurate results, just my opinion. I have no plans to use these new 260 drivers until i buy a new video card by nvidia, most likely the 450.

These drivers are a hit and miss but where they miss is major.

Pluses: I was able to run Crysis Warhead at almost a steady 50-60 FPS on Enthusiest. The flickering shadow issue I was having in GTA4 stopped. Cryostasis also seemed to run smoother, never dropped below 40 FPS.

Misses: my framerate in GTA4 is shot when outside, peaking at about 20FPS. Just Cause 2 also performs worse for me with these drivers. As well as Batman, but I'm sure that's because of this reason...

With these drivers the 9800GT I have for PhysX is not recognized. At All! It's still physically in my system but the drivers make it dissapear. The only GPUs showing in my system are my 9800GX2s...

Looks like I'll just stick with the 197.45s

anyone else having issues with th fan speed not staying after reboot in msi afterburner it was fine on driver 258.96 so that tells me its not the EVGA bios issue if it was working before hand

Ok did a few simple bench marks.

    258.96 Drivers

Mafia 2... 67.9 Avg FPS... everything high but no physx.
Far Cry 2...61.66 Avg...everything very high 4X AA.
    EFLC....30.37...everything on high 4X AA.
    Dirt 2...57.4-47.2...everthing maxed out.

    260.63...All same settings

    Mafia 2...63.2.
    Far Cry 2...58.24.
    EFLC...29.43
    Dirt 2...56.0-44.7.

BFBC2 runs really well Avg FPS over 70 GPU usage in the 90s..But once when i got killed and it reloaded when i pressed W the screen went total grey and i had to re-start the game..I also add that i have never had any problems with any driver like others have had with drivers.

Dirt 2 Ran like s**t until i re-installed the drivers still a little bit laggy but i have had this problem with every driver since i got my GtX 460 hopefully Nvidia will sort it out like they have BFBC to the most part.

All run on 1440x900 Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.
Before anybody says anything YES a new monitor is my next upgrade :)
