GeForce Experience Share To Introduce In-Game Overlay & Exciting New Co-Op Features

Two years ago we made PC game configuration a simple task with GeForce Experience, a free application that automatically applies optimal playable settings for over 250 of the most popular games. Since launch our free app has been used by tens of millions of gamers and has evolved to include video capture, Twitch streaming, and NVIDIA SHIELD game streaming.

Next month, GeForce Experience evolves once more with the release of the Share early access beta. The Share beta will give gamers new tools to enjoy their gaming experiences with friends, including a new in-game overlay to access video capture and Twitch streaming, integrated YouTube upload capabilities, and GameStream Co-Op, an exciting new feature that unlocks new ways to play and experience PC games.

Accessing the new in-game overlay is easy – simply hit Alt+Z, in Windows or in-game, and up pops the Share menu which gives you access the features you know and love, and new capabilities we’re integrating for the launch of the Share early access beta.

“Instant Replay” enables you to run in a DVR-esque mode, saving the last 5 to 20 minutes of gameplay with the click of a button. Alternatively, you can use “Record” to manually start and stop a video recording at any time. And with NVIDIA ShadowPlay technology, which utilizes hardware on our graphics cards, game capture has almost no performance overhead while capturing high quality video at up to 3840x2160 (4K), at up to 60 frames per second.

New for the Share early access beta is the ability to view saved clips via the integrated “Gallery” and upload them straight to YouTube without exiting your game.

Before uploading you can also edit the start and end positions of the clips to remove dull moments leading up to your amazing Pentakill.

In-game, or on the Windows desktop, you can customize each feature with ease, setting recording lengths, recording resolutions, recording frame rates, and streaming quality.

Sharing your games to Twitch just got easier as well with the new in-game “Broadcast” overlay. Add a camera or voice chat to your video right from the new overlay and broadcast your gameplay to the world.

Last but not least is GameStream Co-op. As a kid you’d invite your friends around to see a new game, to help you beat a particularly tricky level, to play Chaos Engine co-op, or to challenge you in Doom II. As an adult, your childhood friends and new Internet friends are spread far and wide. GameStream Co-Op uses the Internet, the performance of GeForce GTX PCs, and the low-latency, low-overhead streaming components of GeForce GTX Kepler and Maxwell GPUs to solve the problem, enabling you to invite friends into your game over the Internet.

With GameStream Co-Op, your friends can simply watch you play in a low latency 1:1 stream, take control of your game with mirrored controls and help you with a tough boss fight in The Witcher 3, or play along-side you in supported multi-controller games like Trine 3, Gauntlet, FIFA 15, NBA 2K15, Mortal Kombat Komplete, and more.

However you use GameStream Co-Op, you’ll be able to hear your friend with built-in voice chat support, which can be activated and toggled in real-time using the new Share overlay.

To get your hands on all this goodness stay tuned to the GeForce Experience early access beta page, which will be updated with the download link in September. Further information regarding system requirements is already available, so you can see whether your system is ready for Share.

What sucks is you have to have it installed to do game streaming to android.
Steam has no way to do it without 3rd party apps, and half the time, they would like ass or have no gpu hardware acceleration.

Id rather them fix the fooking sli vram bugs in windows 10.........

Exactly.. every single application nowadays wanna push their own overlay all over you. steam, origin, razor, steelseries, now nvidia and many others. It's just so annoying, all they do is suck your performance away and cause countless issues like stuttering and compatibility issues with real useful stuff like Afterburner.

I've installed GE once, but then I realized that all those game optimizations are just stuff that I can tweak myself (and more effectively), and don't get me started on the 5+ nvidia services running for no reason because of GE.

While I agree that there are too many overlays I do think though it's good having a GPU company pushing out such a feature to use as it's independent from the store based/DRM overlays (i.e. steam, origin, GOG, uplay) therefore the features will work or content will be shareable regardless of where or what version of a game you bought.

I wonder why I don't have any compatibility issues because of overlays. Oh, I know - it's because I choose what to run when I need it instead of having everything running all the time.
