The forum "nvidia" in the discussion of the May update gave links to "mega" there, like repacking the installer which installs everything correctly, including ansel

Can you please explain the difference between the gtx and rtx packages of this driver? I did not quite understand. In the discussion of "clean gtx and rtx installations"

Are you enabling Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling with the registry edit? As its not currently visible in 2004 or are you using an Insider build?

Also what are you using for "new vulkan" driver? These drivers (451.22) actually contain older vulkan version to the vulkan beta drivers 443.24.

I haven't installed these drivers as they don't contain the latest Vulkan drivers needed for CEMU async emulation. So I am using the vulkan beta drivers 443.24 which doesn't have WDDM 2.7, so the hardware accelerated scheduling doesn't show up for me, which I believed it didn't show up for anyone as its not officially released/support yet but with a WDDM 2.7 driver it shows up.

You can however edit the registry and force it to show up

    • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
    • Locate ‘HwSchMode’ and change its DWORD value.
    • Set ‘1’ to turn it off and ‘2’ to turn it on.
But it won't do anything unless you have a WDDM 2.7 driver installed. Which I didn't know.

Maybe "silky smooth" is a tiny bit of exaggeration, it certainly was not stuttering like it does now after the update. It stutters in online matches so bad to the point of unplayability. I have made short recording in "try mode" here.

Clean packages have nothing to do with me.

    It's visible to 10, 16 and 20 series users

Can you even use Ansel if you don't install GFE?
Or do you mean that he forgot to remove it?

Ansel/nvcamera doesn't need gfe at all.

The clean packs are fine in that they don't include nvcamera at all.

I assume you can use it with other software then? Just asking since I never used it and only thing I've seen for it from NVidia looks like their GFE overlay.

Clean Packs are usually that way, only drivers + nvcp and nothing else.
Besides physx and what else games may need to function.

most stuff that uses ansel can just load the nvcamera runtime without GFE, you just loose the ability to use freestyle filters and stuff.

Good job, thanks. But for example, on reddit, people appropriate your links for themselves, supposedly it was they who repackaged it. (If it’s not you who placed them there under another nickname)

Experiencing some stutters on this driver, where in 446.14 didn't happen.

Ok, that looks bad. I'm not seeing this here with 1070.

I hesitate to install 451.22 in my next config (in few days). I think I will install 446.14 official...

cuda_11.0.1_win10_network installer is what I used. Just selected/deselected the components as needed... it downloaded and installed the driver.
