I love my 7600GT Superclock. I'm far too impatient to overclock myself and it only costs me $22 as a step-up from my old 6800GS AGP.

    Scores
    3dmark01: 13300
    03: 6300ish
    05: 4900ish
    06: 2400ish
    AM3: 66000ish.

edit: haha those were totally wrong scores.

    3dmark03: 13300ish
    05: 6300ish
    06: 2400ish
    AM3: 66000ish

Okay... need some advice about this card. It looks powerful. Would it fit in this system I'm planning to build by the end of the year? This time I wanna go with Nvidia again.

Athlon 64 3200+ (will probably OC it to at least 2.4)
    ASUS A8N-E
    1GB RAM PC3200 2-3-3-6
7600GT (probably the XFX XXX version if it gets cheap enough)
This case and its PSU (dunno about the amps, it's a 420w PSU)
    80 GB SATA2 HDD
    DVD-RW
    CD-RW

Sorry if this looks like spam, but I need to know. For sure prices for those components will go down by the end of the year, so maybe I can afford buying something more powerful.

sounds like a great buy except i would go with 1.5 gigs or 2 just so you can play games with rpride

The problem is... I have a... limited budget. I'd like to stay around the U$S 600-650 price mark. I can make like U$S 400-425 from the rig I have now (trust me, people'll find it tempting...) Right now a 1GB stick costs U$S 100. 200 dollars for memory is a bit out of my budget ATM. Who knows, I'm sure the prices'll go down...

So, the 7600GT is the perfect GFX card for that rig?

yeah the 7600GT will fit in very nicely with that rig,but id maybe go for a SLI motherboard, but if your budgets that tight, then you might not be able to

My 7600GT gets an average score of 6400 with 3dmark05.

    OC to 600/1600.

Average temperature of 60C + with stock cooling.

Runs most games very very smoothly with high settings... I love it!

You should go get the card. You're going to notice a HUGE performance increase, not to mention that you can sell your current 6600GT and recouperate some of the cost.

Anyone else having problems with BFG 7900gtx cards?

I just sent the 2nd one back on rma, (the first rma kept freezing), this one was drawing random pretty patterns on the desktop.
Thing is, i didin't realise how bad it was because as i fitted it as a 2nd card my pc didn't bluescreen until i tried enabling sli. (i still haven't run sli and iv'e had this pc 3 months). It was when i swapped it into slot a and plugged the monitor into it i realized how bad a state the card was in!.

Iv'e handled 3 BFG 7900gtx cards now and one of the originals is still working fine though.

Apart from postage costs and wasting time taking my pc to bits, what else have gotten my self into!. :realmad:

Still, it keeps me off the streets!

Why do we always get jokers with superior video cards running into the wrong threads. Sheesh!

Nice for cards that a lot of people dont even consider gaming power cards. 7300GT overclocked in SLI does quite a good job I see.
