Hello I just got my Clevo P370EM and yesterday it was running just fine, the only different thing is before going to sleep yesterday I turned off Windows 8 Fast startup.

Well today I started playing Planetside 2 and I noticed it ran much more choppier than yesterday and to compare I remember I had a Bioshock Infinite Benchmark I did when I finished configuring my laptop, so I ran one just right now and it is indeed slower.

I also noticed BF3 ran considerably slow with the same settings as always.

Windows 8 Feels slower too, specially steam, everything is really choppy.

anyone have any ideas what could cause this?

    The specs are:

    Windows 8 64bit Pro
    NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 680M 4GB GDDR5 Memory
    3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz)
    8GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 2 X 4GB
    Crucial® M4 128GB SATA III SSD
    750GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Disk Drive

    Here are the benchmarks:

Any idea what could have cause this? I'm running the latest Nvidia drivers WHQL 314.22.

Pay attention to average and min FPS.

Whole computer feels choppy like if I had slow 2D performance too.

    Try these drivers

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=377218

Just use a modded .ini file to enable your card, heard good things from Nvidia owners about these.

Also, download Afterburner and enable in game monitoring and see if your chip is boosting up to 3D clock speeds as it looks like it might be stuck on 2D "desktop mode" whilst gaming.

Also, if you don't have your laptop on move very often then disable Core Parking, and also ULPS (this can be turned off in AB settings). If you have your laptop on the move then leave these ON as having them disabled will shorten the battery life quite a bit.

    EDIT:

Also, consider removing your systems PAGE FILE completely. Or see if the OS has put it on your SSD, if so move it off there and put it on your HDD. SSD's don't perform well with page file and OS being on the same drive plus it will shorten life span. With 8GB RAM you will be fine with no PF at all.

I tried something I read on the Nvidia Forums. I tried running the laptop with the battery pulled out and this were the results.

This points to a power management issue right?

I seem to be getting closer to finding out the issue, the funny thing is that the system was running nice and fast when i got this message.
