My specs on the right are current.

I just got this video card and I am using the 71.24 drivers that came with the card. I just ran Aquamark and got the following results:
    GFX - 4265
    CPU - 4948
    29803

Is this OK or should it be higher?

oh, that's a little low there dude...
I hitting >45000 ish and is greatly CPU limited...
Oh your's is non GT, but saying that, i was hitting 28000 with a Ti4200!

    Also try 71.89 drivers.
what's the card GPU and memory clock speeds you got there?

core clock is 299 and mem clock is 501. This is what riva says. I am nut sure what you mean by GPU. Its a Geforce 6600 8x agp. I also want to know about tweaks before drivers. testing drivers is such a pain.

But you have a gt he has a standard 6600 so he shouldnt be as high as you.

Altho some 6600 can be overlcocked to the speed of a 6600gt so look into weather your card can.

My card benches best with the 76.50 beta drivers say 1500 more than if i was using the drivers you are using at present.

:O that would mean an overclock os 200 for core and 400 for memory. I dont think I want to push it that far. Does anyone have any recomended setting for the rivatuner?

    Well, thats too high.
You should try by 10% OCing and then, upgrading by 5 mhz.
Prepare your food and some movies because thats going to take you all day long.

Dont forget to try playing full load games to see artifacts.

Some 6600's are capable of very nice core overclocks. Be more careful with the RAM though, it can't be pushed as far.

I just started Riddick, butcher bay 800x600@75Hz. I saw an auto setting at 2.0++ and it seemed the highest. I also set all other video options to high or on. The game played so far with ho stagger or lag. I didn't see any unusuall glitches or anomilies.

I just OCed mine to 324core and 552mem. After I test again Ill post my numbers only, no image. Ill try a core of 400 but I don't want to push it. I wont make the mem any higher.

    ok, overclocked to 324core 552mem I got:
    GFX - 4607
    CPU - 5033
    31602

differance of 1799. Using riva I get the yellow exclaimation over 375, so I would assume 400 is out of the question.

what sould my latency be? (128 current)
what should mipmapping be, DX and GL? (0 current)
What sould vsink be in each?

Well, i have known people that can score 40,000 with the FX 5700. I think thats too high but i know that the 6600 can be overclocked to gain about 10,000 more in aquamark and you only increased less than 2,000.

Did they get all that gain by just increasing the frequencies or did they use other adjustments?

my stock 6600 was 300/530, pushed it to 430/600 for benches, safest level in games is clocked at 400/600 at 1.1v

My friend has a XFX 6600 nonGT 256mb... his stock was 300/500 .. he got it upto 395/600 .. anything beyond that gave artifacts .... as far as i can remember .. he scored around 22xx in 3dmark05 ...
