Everybody seems to be arguing and getting very technical about this :3eyes:

Well heres some input from a non tecnical type person , i tried it , it works , super sampling looks ten times better than normal AA in my opinion , i dont know how it works , i dont care how it works , i just know it works , it looks good and for all the mumbling and grumbling about how much of a performance hit we 6800 users will get from it , ive seen hardly any , certainly not enough for me to notice during normal play with no fps monitor.

It works in CS/S it seems to work in well in BF2 and thats enough for me.

One thing id like to say , why hav'nt we 6800 users had this all along??? Were we ever sposed to find out about it? ....... Is the moon made of cheese?

actually, as its an AA mode of sorts, i reckon most geforce cards can do it...

anyone wanna try on a TI4800se?

i have one... just no games with fences to try it on...

    WRONG

Thanks for getting my hopes up. :behead:

Gamma correct AA is not available on my 6600GT via nhancer, only supersampling.

Well ... by now i guess what i understand is this not a driver dependent feature ,and is something just hidden before ... so can anyone get a reg. file that'll unlock this option with the 91.28 .. coz i'm really am not in a mood to install a new driver ...

Stands to reason that the 6 series can do as they are almost the same as the 7 series just alot slower, so thats probably why nvidia didn't include it in the driver as it was too much of a performance hit, all good though. My mates gonna be pleased as he's got my old 6800nu

nope, its locked in the driver code.

just use nhancer to enable it.. it should work.

NFS: Underground 2 airport glass now looks really sweet without annoying jaggies all over the place. Same applies to all the shops that have lots of glass windows. Gotta try V-Rally 2 too since it had few alpha texture problems on few places.

Strange. I have it and it seems to work fine. Nv4x cards have been able to do Gamma Corrected AA since the 70xx drivers with Rivatuner.

    http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30641&page=7

Since then, Nvidia has improved on Gamma Corrected AA performance to the point where it's practically free.

If you keep personally attacking me in cross-thread posts, you're going to be reported to the admin.

    Here's a clue, n00b:

It's against the rules, and you're doing it.

are differents things. With nHancer you can choose a special AA mode called "4x Gamma Corrected" that was nvidia implemented time ago experimentaly and only in 4x mode. This mode was a similar result that serie 7 with 4x and gamma corrected checked but poor results. I don't recomend set. You can try and run somes tests if you like

So inorder to get 4x gamma corrected mode on geforce 6 i need to select this mode in nhancer?

i cannot tick the option to get it working?

i know now u can tick transparency option and it will work in the latest driver

Gamma AA works in other drivers (inc, FW77)

its likely that TransAA works 2...

I don´t think that nvidia can´t go back on this!!!! Now WE Know what our geforce 6 cards are capable of. I´ve tried Race driver 3 with multisampling on (not supersampling) and it simply looks SUPERB!!! Huge IQ improvement. And if Nvidia cheats me, and Geforce 6 owners, in future drivers i think its simple. I´ll Change to ATI, after having buy 7 or 8 nvidia cards. So nvidia be aware and be afraid!!! Very afraid! Because long time clients don´t like being cheated. Remember that we (clients) pay your salaries and give you huge profits. OK?

Very funny!!! But even funnier is knowing that your AthlonFX60 is running at 70% of its capacity because of marketing issues!!!! What about that?
