GeForce 511.17 WHQL driver download (for RTX 3080 series only)

When will they get rid of that image scaling and put image sharpening back in which was far superior than the new scaling shite.

 

This driver supports only the 3080's

 

Says it's not compatible, I'm on Windows 11 Home build 22000.376 with RTX 3070 inside.

 

Will it work with my 3090 ? I know the article and thread title clearly state that it is 3080 only, but it's got to be worth my time trying right ?

 

Checked on Nvidia site and it gave me this driver for my 3080 10GB

Installed and working fine

 

Year 2030:

Driver file size: 5-10 GB

 

as time progress older cards get removed though.

 

Thought I would try. A no go for RTX3090 mines the FE version. Odd to have a driver for one model of a 30 series. Oh well

 

Working fine on my 10GB 3080 Palit Gaming Pro, updated from the studio driver.

 

Cant you mod the .ini file to support other cards or did they stop this?

This driver is really just for the RTX 3080 12gb to jump in, that is why it doesn't work on other models.

 

I Use the 511.09 Studio Driver for my 1080 ! It´s runnig well for me ;o) ! But why they do that.... ?

 

Is this the first-ever driver for only one graphics card? Are they kidding each other?

 

Still able to, but we're getting a new driver soon with new features so there's no point imo.

Worst drivers in a very long time. They completely removed the only way to do 99% oc the setting we need, and trying to force us to use the horrible junk from the broken failed Windows Store.

Also, there are tons of bugs.
Cards freezing up, burning up because the fans won't turn on. Completely losing support for laptop screens on many devices, ECT... Just look at their forums. NVIDIA is going to lose my support and recommendations, now that there is no option for Non DCH! Their cards are damn near useless now.

 

1. none of this ever happened with 511.
2. there is no guarantee of support or function of oem notebooks that aren't using their oem drivers.
