Why the heck do people want Nvidia to turn into AMD by cutting support early? No friggin way. I say more support, not less. Also, I highly doubt Nvidia will end W7 support in 2023. I'd bank on it not happening. There's more chance DX12 gets fully back-ported to W7 lol.

If you are experiencing blackscreens in desktop situations with hardware accelerated screen programs (eg MPC-HC, Browsers...), then 461.51 has a fix for that.
If you are not experiencing any issues, my advice would be to stick to your driver version.

If you have zero issues you can arguably only make it worse.

This driver appears to work well on all my systems so far.
Why not go all the way and cut off Windows driver support altogether so we can have a better Linux driver? ;)

Guys can someone confirm you are not getting flickering with G-Sync enabled in 3DMARK?

Previous driver flickers like crazy with G-Sync in 3DMARK and some games too

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Even without gsync there is still flickering everywhere from desktop to some games. Gotte feeling this flickering is never going to be fixed for most of us with 3000 series gpu,s.

I never had a single flicker with my 1080 ti is this only nvidia 2000 and 3000 series related ? or is something up with the nvidia drivers or windows updates ?

driverfeedback@nvidia.com send them a report if possible.Seems to be an issue that's barely recognised and it needs to get some attention. It's been going on for almost a year and it needs to be dealt with.

Same here. War Thunder constant crash. Previous drivers was perfect, not a single crash. Revert for now.

Went to 461.40 and everything become normal, again. Not a single crash.

    Vulkan or D3D12?

Jura, you're not supposed to run 3dmark with gsync enabled in the first place, the application even warns you that the scores will be invalid.

This driver had a partial fix, the next one(on next branch) has a more indepth fix (if i'm interpretting manuel correctly)

The latest 460 drivers enabled Multiplane Overlays

Yes I know mate, but prior to previous and this driver now my Acer Predator X34p flickers like crazy every 5 or 10 seconds

I always use G-Sync with 3DMARK or any other benchmarks

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Did you flicker people do a DDU or just installed over the older drivers?

I'm curious to know why I don't have any kind of issues o_O.

The only thing I've noticed since version 457.xx is the idle temperatures that have increased by a few degrees
