Unstable graphics card or memory, the internet would be flooded with fortnite freeze complaints otherwise

Where did you get that from ? no unstable graphics card or memory here all games work except fortnite after installing a new driver fyi

One day i won't have to keep explaining that X games working doesn't mean Y game crashing isn't a hardware problem,

    Different usage of the hardware
    Different shaders used.
Unstable RTX cards are historically more likely to freeze (or reset) under variable loads than under maximum.

Ok, but... Vulkan Beta Driver, post #70 (5887712)

    And I checked it:

Previous vulkan driver 457.91 - no problems.

I was about to come back here with an update on this, I checked the driver and it is throwing the same Page Hash issues,

I then stripped the signatures from the file and still experienced them
I then added my own signature to the file and still experienced them.

The binary itself is malformed as a likely result of a bug in the WDK build tools, I have driver source code of my own that i can use to confirm this, its just a matter of downloading that newer wdk and checking if the same page hash violation is thrown but I've been informed from both ends that the problem is already being looked into jointly so i'd just be throwing noise into the matter to also report it.

I had considered it might be the file size, but the vulkan driver expands to considerably less than the latest 46x drivers, so that rules that out.

    Different people, different hardware integrity.

Dead locks haven't been driver sourced since XP days.

It works around an issue occurring for you (and some others) PC that needs to be identified.

    Fix has a specific definition.
Turning off a default driver function is a workaround.

There could be an application or utility that loads drivers unique to all those affected.

As usual, nobody has bothered to supply a msinfo32 to dig into.

Looked upo dead locks something like this ?

18 Jan 2020 — A deadlock is a condition where a program cannot access a resource it needs to continue. When an active application hits a deadlock, it may "hang" or become unresponsive. Resources, such as saved or cached data, may be locked when accessed by a specific process within a program

Does still not has to be only a hardware problem

every windows since XP will invoke the TDR system in this case, you can't fully freeze the system with out there being hardware involvement - not without it being 100% occurrence across every single user with the same hardware as you.

Then your windows environment and everything that is on it that gets loaded by fortnite is a factor.

especially crap like iceaudio and nahimic which are both malware that Asus likes to bundle with its utilities.

    get rid of gpu tweak.

    Did some digging into fortnite.

    1. There are no reports of RTX 30 series freezing or freezing specific to this driver outside of this thread (none at all)
    2. There is a report of a 2080 freezing sporadically following Client updates (not drivers) 2 months ago.
    3. In late 2020, there were a number of users experiencing freezes that were rectified by clean installing the game
    4. I have seen non PC versions freeze up because of network condition issues (with the Epic servers) https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/lljcne/game_keeps_freezing_and_crashing_on_ps5/
    5. Freezing is currently listed as a known issue (and reports such as https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/lki5lh/i_hope_epic_games_fix_this_issue_the_game_is/ exist)
@endbase i think you've sent Nvidia on a "Epic" goose chase.

User suggested Solution is to disable replay recording in game.

Thats good, I'm sure they'll find some correlation on machines once loaded libraries and running applications are cross examined.

Obscure bug, but using CRU with this driver to disable the HDMI audio block while GSYNC is active causes a blank screen on reboot.

Other than that running great (MOE), a few more FPS than previous hotfix.
