Wow, so Seasons are now considered a full/different game, which needs a game ready driver!? Ridiculous..

I haven't read anything about Apex Legends, but we've had this happen in the past for those games that have on-going support. They can have engine changes that make the previous driver profile break, and needs an updated profile.
In some cases it has really been problematic for users with old GPUs out of support, since they never got an updated driver for handling the changes.

Some had success by switching to adaptive in global settings, im ok with optimal though. Last time I had backscreens were in 38x.xx driver and it was widely known.. nv changed something by power management. Was the same by 28x.xx driver.. i hope it wont be the same with 48x.xx driver lol

do a timespy bench and you'll see by yourself, huge performance lost, it begins with 442.37 and now 442.50 is worst, also stuttering in game and fps drops (weird driver behaviour), now all fine with 441.87.

FYI, these drivers also contain some security updates via NVIDIA's Security Bulletin 4996. But I'm sure 1-2 FPS (placebo) variance will override that part.

The last good driver here are 442.01, all later give me a huge framerate drops and stutterings

even 442.01 not as good as 441.87 ( the last most stable, and with some performance gain), i tested many times, also maybe the last windows updates drops down performance, but with the driver no placebo, its bugged shits.

I found them ok too, in Destiny2. I didn't try extreme nightmare horde on Moon yet, but by other stuff it ran good, smooth and stable fps.
