Oh yes, used the latest DDU every time.

I think that 418.81 worked fine (it sure did in Anthem at least) but I didn't start my real testing until I upgraded to 418.91 It's a bit of a blur these past days with all the benchmarking and stuff that's been going on but I think I'd like to try 418.81 again for Anthems sake.

Was wondering if those drivers perform worse on metro exodus for 1xxx series on purpose to push dlls and dxr ?

I just tested those drivers with my GTX980OC (1450MHz) on the new Metro Exodus benchmark using the same exact settings like Guru's at 1080p resolution scoring 44fps in the benchmark. Using the same settings ingame gave me 75+ fps in most scenes playing smooth under DX11 API. Using DX12 i have a 5 fps drop in perfomance with no reason.. i'll keep using DX11 instead! Overall the driver performance is good with no issues whatsoever!

Resident Evil 2 remake the same thing happens, in Directx 12 works between 5 and 10 fps less than Directx 11, Nvidia is not interested in giving performance.

I have to agree! Don't bother with DX12.. use the old good DX11 API..! There are very few games that DX12 actually provides a performance boost. Vulkan is way better on that regard!

All my games runs smooth like a butter, no issues for my RTX 2080 Ti..

Those last drivers are optimized for RTX series cards and Windows 10 RS5..

If you have a potato gpu or an older version of Windows 10 is not a driver related

In contradiction to what Yoda says "There is no try" I say "There is try" :) So try them out :p I forgot to try 418.81 yesterday for the sake of Anthem (which still runs like poo after Day-1 patch).

It's oh so hard to install a driver. I don't even know how people survive this, some even manage to install them on first try - those are the bearers of forbidden knowledge.

Confirmed with these drivers Blender Cycles will fall back from GPU to CPU, Octane just doesn't work with these drivers as it will crash with CUDA errors, IRAY same it will fall back from CPU to GPU, SuperFly same it will fall back from GPU to CPU

Seems Nvidia used different Optix or CUDA which is causing these issues

418.81 and 418.91 do have same behaviour in above mentioned renderers

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

I ended up giving them a try. Only tried metro which seems to be running better than 418.81. Stuttering is gone. I"ll try other games later.
No one said it was hard to install a driver.

...and now we got a new driver :D I think I'll be "wearing out" DDU completely due to my multiple times using the program :D

Then why not just install it and see if you'll have any issues instead of listening to people on forums with other systems in both s/w and h/w?

Because people are away from the PC or don't have much time? Same reason why we don't just delete this whole driver forum and resort to only private message reports to Nvidia.

Or instead of reading reviews before you buy a product, just buy it first then...no wait....dude come on, you're just looking for an argument.

Oh yes, time, I heard that it takes literally MONTHS to install a new driver.

How much did you pay for this driver, dude?

Please stop with the toxic immature comments. Not going to argue this with you. Stop looking for arguments.

Sure, as soon as you'll stop making such a big deal out of something as trivial as a driver update. I'm really tired reading all this crap like "not going to update because of stupid reasons". Stop filling a driver feedback thread with empty responses.
