What are "TDR's"?
Best and most complete explanation here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/...-tdr-errors-display-driver-nvlddmkm-stopped-/
Not sure what you are talking about. Win 7 here. I definitely stopped, disabled, and have no problems with the telemetry service here.
While it might be true this is a bad inductive argument. You can't possibly state this with any authority lol.
I only have gotten the black flashing tdrs for a second or two before it returns. Could be anything from sound driver, HDMI handshake, et cetera. Not a big deal here as games are totally stable. A new firefox build will sometimes have a few issues with new Nvidia drivers as they are get this... two separate development teams. I know crazy right.
I'm on Win 7 as well so an issue will pop up now and then. But otherwise I have no issues with driver.
yea, a similar example would be: At some point Firefox added WebVR support and the most recent time i set my Oculus up, it was being triggered by random websites (ones that had no VR content), lol... I had to disable WebVR in firefox to stop it.
Tried 418.81 with the older sound driver from 417.71
Started my virtual machine (VMWare) opened chrome, got instant a TDR.
So the it seems like the gpu driver is the problem and not the sound driver.
VSync in chrome seems also broken with 418.81, i had to force it on in the nvidia control panel.
Back to 417.71, if i get TDR with that one, i know something else is broken xS
Yes, working fine again with 417.71
418.81 seems broken on Win7 with gtx 1060 6gb
Issues and updates:
2500396-Windows 7/8.1: Random TDRs after updating to driver 418.81
When even nvidia is trolling with their drivers.... xD
Tried again these drivers and getting constant nvoglv64.dll errors in DAZ3D Studio on RTX2080Ti,tried only render with my other 3*GPUs(GTX1080Ti,GTX1080,GTX1080) and no issues, tried too older drivers and same issue with previous drivers in DS and as well with Quadro 416.30
Hope this helps
When I had the first ever TDR during GTA V released with 350.12 WHQL and the next 4 WHQLs driver too, but you guys said is my hardware/user issue? Eat back your words & swallow it.
Good driver for BF5 DX12 on my GTX 1080 Ti. DX11 have to much CPU usage and power usage with future frame rendering on.
You mean with future frame rendering off, on should free up CPU and rendering.
I wish I could run DX12 but DX11 is more stable and smoother unless something changed in BFv compare to BF1.
I am on 900 series card, GTX970.
Tomorrow dlss coming to Battlefield 5 and only 4 days until Metro Exodus, Far Cry New Dawn, Crackdown 3 release and not new driver?
May be Nvidia is waiting the official announcement of GTX 1660 TI
I don't need DLSS for BFV Running 2x 2080 nvlink @ 4k ultrasettings. 160-200fps
Using the Anthem SLI profile
Okay then, deleting it from update repository.
I would like to know if there is any benefit from higher fps than 60? I don't see any difference.
If you don't know, leave it
My wife don't see the difference 144hz VS 60 hz when scrolling up and down on "the internet", and moving the mouse in windows. She couldn't care less about computers....
Someone "can't" see the difference in driving in 60 km/h and driving in 120km/h. Often the don't care, or they are blind...
For me these drivers work fine with GSync enabled on my Freesync ACER ED273A 144Hz monitor and DSR.
Try on and off, on high CPU usage and off 30% lower CPU usage in my case. And in DX11 with off my GPU usage is 60%.
What have this to do with the Hz of a monitor? But I can't see anything anyway, since I use my PC just with an 1080p LCD TV at 60hz. This thing doesn't even have higher Hz, 144hz monitor and a stronger graphics card are not in my budget.
I have tested here with settings 1 , 2, 3 and lower ones raise CPU usage and frame times, but that is in DX11 only. I got GTX970 so I doubt DX12 is any good (was never in BF1).
Note you need to leave it on in-game settings and force in NVCP, don't use user.cfg as doesn't change anything there.
Idont wan't it on, i use DX12 for more smoothness so DX12 let me to set future frame rendering off, it's more smooth than on with DX11 or DX12.
