gotta say last few drivers since .22 really ruined performance for me on gtx 1080
the last driver that introduce freesync was flat out broken but people let it slide because of that damn freesync feature....

I thought AMD drivers were a bit hefty, this Nvidia is 548MB - imagine how much pointless stuff is inside this :)

That is why installers like NVcleanstall and NV driver slimming utilities are around.

Which driver do you find optimal? Only recently got a 1080 and would like to play around with drivers for it, thanks.

I have a LG 34UC79G, freesync is bug on 417 driver. This driver have fixed and improved freesync compatibilities? Will try it later today...

The driver wasn't broken for everyone. My performance did not suffer.

    For people who want DCH:

    https://international.download.nvid...esktop-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe

    https://international.download.nvid...tebook-win10-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe

EDIT: I see nvidia's driver page now has a Standard/DCH toggle.

    Hello,
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between DCH or "normal" drivers...?
In layman's terms please if possible...

Is there a (gaming) performance difference between the two?

Microsoft just came with new approach to drivers and related software. So now developers of drivers should just prepare same source files to build (and deploy) two bundles instead of one.
