Not enough resources to run the games at these settings? Issue with the display driver? Shadow of the Tomb Raider just crashed on me with these errors, first time I see them?

Funnily enough, I was playing through the different modern Tomb Raider games last weekend, using the v411.63 driver, and with Rise using 4xSSAA at maxed out 2560x1440 settings I actually had a blue screen Kernel corruption crash, something I had never seen before... or, thankfully, since. Not sure if that was a driver or Windows error though but I using Windows 10 Pro v1809 build 17763.1 so it is possibly a rare bug with that version?

What improvements if any will WDDM 2.5 bring to the table then over WDDM 2.4?

In my experience, these new versions of WDDM with each six-monthly Windows update simply introduce issues with G-SYNC, especially with games that don't support proper exclusive fullscreen modes, e.g. Unity engine games. We then have to wait months for NVIDIA to address the issue in the driver and then they seem unable to fix it fully going by the number of complaints I see about it over on the GeForce.com forum...

I feel like im not gonna install them since there are probablby no real benefits over 411.63. Guess even "gameready" Fifa 19 is running the same :p And those are also Fifa19 gameready already. Hmm.......

Tested briefly yesterday with ROTTR and FC:5. Same performance as 411.63.

I might test them vs 399.xx and report back if anything changes.

Just finished testing some games (The devision, ROTTR, SOTTR, R6 Siege, NFS Payback, Vampyr) the performance is ok and seems overall the same as previous driver. No issues to report so far. :)

Maybe, NVIDIA haven't released yet, but no need to worried since they always released earlier than AMD.

The Division benchmark in DX12+Gameworks (HFTS+HBAO) is crashing to desktop at 100% loading on both these and 411.63 here. DX12 without Gameworks and DX11 with and without Gameworks run fine.

The division is ok here, Dx12 and hbao, shadows high.

But alt+tab to desktop still crashes later.. guess this crap never will get fixed.

Mind you I was too lazy to check GW features separately so it may well be that the crash is happening only with HFTS being used.

I did some testing on the devision with DX11 and i had 0 issues. I'll retest it with DX12 (despite the worse fps results), in order to test the stability only and report back!

I thought dx12 is a little faster? when I benchmarked in the past it was few 2-4fps faster.

This was still in the early days, think 1.6 patch.

Any reason for someone on a GTX 1080 who plays none of these new games to come on over from 399.24? I am so happy with these drivers that I am hesitant to upgrade for seemingly no benefit to me so far considering the change logs. I might hold off until WDDM 2.5 before upgrading if there really is no reason to.

    So?

For my setup the results are worse with DX12 (avg 5 fps drop in comparison to DX11 using the ingame benchmark). Btw i just finished testing DX12 on the devision and the stability is OK, no issues at all with all latest patches installed. Returned to DX11 for obvious reasons! :D
    My setup is Windows 10 1803 build 17134.320 with nv411.70 + optimization.

    RS5 has some issues with
    -Quake CHampions
    -Dead by Daylight

both can crash randomly. Good that I kept old RS4 install, will revert now.

EDIT: wow that was fast :D, 3min maybe?
