Added Turing support probably.
I haven't played Monster Hunter World myself, but I do lurk around and follow the discussion when it comes to drivers.
So, here is the thing as I understood it; some keys that have been used in the Monster Hunter World profile bring performance degradation and additional stuttering. By removing them with NVIDIA Inspector Tool, MHW players saw improved performance by up to 20% without any visual glitches or issues. And the removal of the keys also lowered overall stuttering in heavily crowded scenes. (<-- These are the claims as I saw them, can't attest to it personally)
The keys that you’ll have to remove from the Monster Hunter World profile are the following:
Now... MHW players would only have to remove these keys themselves on drivers 399.24 and earlier, as this driver should already have taken them out.
Well, I think these drivers are good. I got the highest graphics score I've seen in Firestrike with these, but only by a really small margin. I've played a session of BF1 just now, and I would say they're the smoothest drivers I've used so far - I don't remember having one hiccup during the 2 hours I played, not one stutter. Usually there's at least some very ocassional stutters, particularly on some maps, but nothing with these drivers. I recommend them so far.
Yeah fantastic set these for me. I'm hitting 120 fps with fast sync on in Titanfall 2 and they are so so smooth in game as Robbo9999 commented above smooth as butter.
new path for NVIDIA shader cache:
Ha, as long as you're not trying to use them on your AMD R9 270! Which GPU you got?
Will give these a go later
Oops I'm sadly much more a lurker now and neglected to change it in my profile. I now have a GTX 960 4GB GPU and a rather simple @3.8ghz AMD FX4300 CPU but with tweaking in the right settings in game and in nvidia profile inspector I often even amaze myself at the gains I can command with my paltry hardware.
After I installed these yesterday they looked fine, that is, until I rebooted the machine today. I can hear the Windows login sound but I get no picture (monitor light blinking only.) It works fine in safe mode.
Removed them with DDU, clean install of the previous ones (399,24), then applied all my personal tweaks. Problem solved.
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate + GTX 1070 (display port to VGA adapter... I know, I know... old monitor...).
Rebooted right after installing these, no issues. Did you try hitting Win+P several times?
I noticed in founder 2080 reviews Nvidia is supplying DP> DVI adapters so it might be something to look at.
Meaning it should work as long as the quality is good.
I didn't try that and I only have an old Syncmaster 2343NW monitor (got used to the 2048x1152 resolution of it).
For the time being I'll pass these drivers. Don't really see a need to use them just yet. I'll try the next ones though. Thanks for the suggestion.
In case anyone is interested, Vulkan API support for this driver has been updated to the latest version 1.1.82 with a total of 58 VK extensions.
However, the included Vulkan RT is still version 126.96.36.199 whereas the latest version which can be downloaded from LunarG is 188.8.131.52.
Tested it with RPCS3 in Vulkan and it's working fine. As expected, no noticeable performance difference from previous versions.
Actually, the latest version is 1.1.85 now.
Yeah, the specification has been updated to 1.1.85 just 3 days ago for the new Turing extensions.
Too bad the SDK and RT are still version 184.108.40.206 though.
Just got these installed and not much of a difference in FPS(about the same). I do notice a big improvement in how smooth things are running tho. Keepers for me.
Installed this yesterday , no problems to report. It seems this driver it's optimized for Forza Games , i got a nice bump in performance in FH3 , FM7 and FH4 Demo. Keepers for me.
intresting it use to be the system temp folders locations, I gona have to update my cclears custom foldering cleaning.
I thought Nvidia was gona let use specify the location for all this last i heard
Forza Horizon 4 GTX970 comparison video to last driver. Looks like +10% performance improvement @1080p.
Update: I just tested on my end (GTX1070+i7 6700k) and performance was the same, no change.
Valley up just a tad from 397.64, which is a pleasant surprise. BF1 runs ridiculously smooth. Vermintide 2 runs good, looks good too. Gonna keep.
