He knows all that and he knows adding feature support like ray tracing adds code and complexity to the driver. It is simply a boorish way of insulting everyone's intelligence, get attention, all without actually calling anyone names. A straight up troll.

    Yeah.

I'm fairly confident theres no supporting code for the 2080 cards prior to 400 series drivers though, we would have had a world of leaks otherwise.

It's highly unlikely that a previous branch had any code supporting a card on a new chip and the difference between these isn't huge in any way either:
    - 385.69 is 436 MB, 3.5 MBs less than the first driver with Titan V support
    - 382.53 is 423 MB

I'll repeat again: a feature support doesn't add much to the driver size. For all those who prefer to still run around with your eyes closed - be my guests, I honestly don't give an F about your insults.

Does the job it was intended for...adjust a few settings and thats all it needs to do, im in there 60 seconds max after fresh installs to change game profiles...it doesnt need to be fancy...basic is fine and functional.

eh never said i download uncompresed drivers, i was just explainig how compressed nvidia installers work, never saw someone so dumb on these forums, once the files are installed on the system they are heavier than the ones you download from the internet

You're the only one here arguing that nothing increases or decreases the size of drivers, that feature/hardware support doesn't change the size of drivers. That's why the drivers are still ~20mb. You spend days arguing semantics versus substance, so you troll all day.
    Any questions?

I speculate the 400 drivers will be nothing new but new game optimized drivers and compatible to the RTX cards. Nothing new.
