Vulkan isn't broken it was a misconfiguration in mpv "gpu-context=win" broke d3d11 and vulkan and left opengl working. Apologies, for Maxwell at least on 1607 397.40 is slightly better but I don't suffer from any wddm 2.3 bugs I'm on 2.1

This driver has very inconsistent stability in Firestrike and stutter in Watch Dogs 2 with vsync off.
Uninstalled audio drivers down to basic M$ driver and FS was still freezing up on test 2
Re-installed 391.35 and it passed from the first reboot.
    Win10 Pro x64 16299.402 - FCU 1709.

Edit: It just passed again, first time all day I've been able to get successful back to back runs.

exact same thing happened at exact time you mentioned to me as well. i'm on 391.35 though and never had any crashes on any games for 3 years since my system/OC stable. guessing its the game's fault.

edit: it was my first bf1 crash few days ago and it didnt happen again.

I got bsod's with AC:O (0x00000124) and I'm on 1607. I'm still testing with reducing my OC to my last known good configuration but if that also fails, I'll roll back to the previous driver.

Not for now, although benchmark score for FFXV is rather low (5500+ in Full HD - max settings)
Does it BSOD randomly even when surfing or only when gaming?

It's not the games fault. It's these terrible drivers.. On a number of systems the driver just crap the bed after Windows has some uptime and it's as if there isn't a card installed. Rebooting fixes it temporarily until the drivers crap the bed again.

Agree 100%. They need to at least test it before they release it. They have all the time in the world for testing after all. Really. They do.

@Khronikos This driver is working without any issue. I'm still using v1709 (16299.402) + 471 MB

Later will try to use the 473 MB & upgrade v1803. The new card is around the corner.

    471 MB + v1803 = No issue.
    473 MB + v1803 = No issue.

Overall gaming experience is smooth & if clean install, I guess will be even smoother.

@HeavyHemi Nope, still exists with 3 selections.

You would need HDMI 2.0b on both the GPU HDMI port and the port on your monitor/TV. Also the latest 1803 Windows update that is getting released this week has improved HDR support. If that's what you have, try 120hz rather than 144hz if that frequency is supported. You would also need a HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.0b but they're around £30.

My monitor has a HDMI 2.0b port but as the GTX 980ti only has a HDMI 2.0 port, my best HDR set up is RGB Full 8bit with dithering @ 1440p 120hz. I'm holding off on upgrading my graphics card as I feel the 1080ti cost is extortionate, and the 1080 is only around 20% faster than 980ti. So I'm waiting for the next series of cards.

Honestly these drivers are a complete mess. Hopefully the next ones are better. Sticking to 391.35 in the meantime. It's not like any new games have been released.

On RS4 1803 and this driver still shows the "uxdservice" at shutdown.
Every time I've had to restart during tidying up, not once did it let up, didn't even bother testing performance.
391.35 still performs without any issues.

Only ran a lil bit of Watch Dogs 2 after Firestrike and performance had macro-stutter (like running out of vram type stutter, real ugly random pauses) Windows usually does a good job of keeping my settings intact since after the Anni Update, i.e., Game Mode Disabled.

Went into the registry and under : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore

In the right pane, all of the entries with "GameDvrFSE" in the name were at "0" except for "GameDvrFSEBehaviourMode" was at "2"

Changed it to "0" and gameplay was back to normal.
Maybe it's placebo but the game ran better than on RS3 1709.

    Asus VG248QE connected via DVI-D ((( I luv DVI-D :D )))

Yeah but why test it when they can have us do it for them?;)

Updated to this driver today right after updating my w10 OS to latest built 1803 , so far no problems to report. the games that i play are still running great ( Forza Motorports 7 - Forza Horizon 3 - Need For Speed PayBack and i'm playing again ROTR ) also using latest VLC and Crome without a single problem so far. Good drivers for me.
