About FEAR1 or FEAR Combat aka MP part and shadow flicker

Shadows @ Medium fixes the issue.. Doesn't matter soft shadows on or off, MSAA on or off..

This is @ 355.97 driver though, but imo it doesn't matter, last time I played this game it was ~ 347.xx or 350.xx and it was fine.

    MSAA and softshadows @ maximum

no MSAA and softshadows @ maximum

MSAA and shadows @ medium, all ok, but yeah some obvious shadows are now missing..

    Thanks for the heads up.

I can confirm that soft shadows are disabled when you use MSAA in F.E.A.R. (they switch to hard shadows). There is a workaround though: use the 0x000000C0 AA flag and force 16xSS with the in-game MSAA option set to OFF. Soft shadows look much better than hard ones IMO.

    a good one
this driver is also freezing my computer during CS:GO..

downgraded to older driver, driver crashing is gone, freezing is gone and my "unstable" overclock is now stable
