I just pulled the opengl files from 340.76 and reinstalled 340.72, since that was the only difference. And the only OPENGL program that I use to my knowledge is EPSXE.

Only when there's a new driver. But I like Valley alot, it's such a soothing experience hearing the sound and watching the sunlight come after the rain :)

    ...w..wait, I don't even..?
    lol

NVIDIA where is my missing -5? What should I do now? (A restart / reinstall didn't help) - could it be that I was too fast and NVIDIA published a new "version" of the same driver a few moments later?

All these drivers, with the Prepar3D tessellation fix (if these do? .72's do have it) yet no Geforce release to correct this long-standing bug.

The flight sim forums are full of people using the lastest official (340.52) requesting support, not knowing what is going on when they see a load of blue triangles...

    Crap support nvidia :bang:

Well, just installed this 340.76 driver and got those blue triangles together with tessellation in prepar3d v2.3. I switched back to 340.72 which works very well.

I wonder that this 340.52 error is still in this version. Getting confused about the driver situation.

I think they are waiting for OpenGL 4.5 support stable first, then they will release it.

    Windows 8.1-64bit and GT740M here:

    340.76 better FPS than 340.43.
    340.52 less FPS than 340.43
    340.43 better than 337.88

    So, I will keep it.

EDIT : reverted back to 340.43, because NVidia Control Panel sometimes not launching.

Well I dont have any flashplayer (fullscreen) slowdown pauses with this one, 350.65 or 340.66 was ok too, unlike icafe 340.72, I'll keep these 340.76 for now.

Played few games old & new and they all ran ok. I dont own that Prepare3D or care about Vally much so im ok with it :p

Honestly there is no reason to be confused, as we really technically aren't supposed to be using these drivers past 340.52 for gaming and benching purposes.

So in your case if you are worried about a bench's IQ, I'd just stick with .52's.

I got confused that the triangle error is in 340.52 but not in 340.72 and again present in 340.76. So I can stick with 337.88 because 340.52 is not useable for me or stay with 340.72 and hope that the next Geforce driver has the triangle error fixed too.

I need the driver for prepar3d only and maybe sometimes for valley or heaven.
    Thanks

I have you tried the 340.66 Quadro drivers? they are supposed to contain the Prepar3D/Valley fixes.

Thats really weird. Doesn't 340.65 contain the same fixes, and isn't 340.76 the same branch?

No, didn't try 340.66 Quadro because the 340.72 has it fixed too.

All I get is a black screen with these, if I install any other driver version and its fine.

I am sticking with the 340.72's for P3D which seem to perform very well (better than the .66's) even if technically we are not supposed to be using them. Its still pretty poor such a major bug, for a major PC application has not been addressed after all this time; I bet COD etc. would get better treatment

No idea, I just mentioned the Quadros because I thought they were the latest drivers that had the fixes because it was said in the 340.72/76 threads that they had the Valley bug.

Edit: I checked the 340.65 thread and PapaJohn said they didn't include the fixes.

Lucifer said the 340.72 drivers had the Valley bug but Stealth83 said they didn't.

I didn't realize Valley was a highly played game. Anyway.... 340.66 Quadro is what has that fix.

If you simply can't wait for the next Geforce beta 340.66 Quadro is the closet thing to a newer driver than the icafe and opengl drivers.
