So far so good, fixed the crashing I had after exiting the cave @ start.
must be, ive only set FXAA and disabled DOF, the rest is maxed.
10 minutes playing, game crashed...................
Geforce 314.21 beta:bang::bang::bang::bang:
I run with 1080p, 16xAF (High quality/clamped via drivers), FXAA and ultra settings in game. The only setting I don't use is tressfx, I don't use it because it's just weird when everyone else has normal hair and Lara has fancy hair (and I want to maintain my FPS).
Bare in mind that despite the fact my GPU is older, with the overclock I have it's as fast as (actually a fraction faster than) a stock GTX 580 and has the same amount of memory - a GTX 480 with an overclock of 830/1660/4000 matches a GTX 580.
Yep same here, game ran smooth as butter for an hour but then CTD display driver stopped working error
TessFX on / off
So much FPS drops with it enabled.
however it grew on me, so without it looks absolutely crap
At what gpu OC is that? 900mhz?
Ah ok that explains it, with TressFX off i get avg 68fps rest maxed (new shadow option ultra, high precision on)@FXAA,
I also force 16xaf via driver and trilinear ingame ^^
I guess Gf110 just cant handle all that compute power, unless i tone down few settings, like SSAO, DOF and that high precision off and new shadow option back to normal.
There is this lens flare bug again..
Sometimes it appears, sometimes it doesnt (testing in benchmark), alt+enter fixes it for good. Alt+enter and back to fullscreen makes that weird slowdown bug - tressFX on.
Idk its either new patch or this driver fault. :infinity:
my score on the demons
all maxed TressFX on so Tess
Tomb Raider with this driver now run smooth with SSAA4x but with ULTRA Shadow i lose about 15-18 fps than Medium Shadow....maybe we must wait some time for play this game very well with all high details. :3eyes:
SC2 HoTS have some problem with GPU's Usage...sometime it fall to 20-24% in both GPUs. Please investigate about this...
I found a bug with the hair when forcing Vsync through the nvcp.
I see, thanks.
Ok I reinstalled 314.09 and this new beta 314.21 driver indeed fixes that SSAO/tessellation flicker on her face - black dots, but this new patch broke that fullscreen lens flare again..
Edit: I appears to be benchmark bug, its ok ingame.. I can see fire & flashlights lens flare effects, also blood splatter, etc.
Patch AND drivers? woo hoo!
No BF3 changes compared to 314.14
My score is 98fps (medium score) with SLi 2x670 4GB @1350mhz and I72600 @4.7Ghz...30 fps less than U! :3eyes::3eyes::3eyes:
Are u sure that u run Benchmark with max details?
What VSYNC mode are you using? What in game graphic settings are you using? ANy other overrides in NVCPL?
I'm able to select 'Ultra' shadows from the settings menu now, i don't remember seeing anything more than 'medium' before.
Perhaps i've been doing it wrong dunno?
I played over 90 minutes of Tomb Raider with these drivers and the latest patch; no crashes or freezes at all. Game performance is noticeably increased on maxed out 1920x1200 settings (2xSSAA, 16xAF, High Precision, Ultra Shadows, TressFX Hair, Tessellation, Triple Buffered V-sync, etc, etc). I run at 60 fps for much of the time but the game still chugs when there's a large draw distance and I've had dips to 28 fps albeit only for a few moments. The game is even playable with 4xSSAA (plus the 0-5 fps framerate bug when switching AA modes with TressFX hair enabled has been fixed). I'm not seeing any tearing either with the in-game v-sync like I was with the first patch and the v314.07/v314.14 drivers.
All in all these seem to good drivers for Tomb Raider... shame about Dead Island...
Ultra Shadows was added in the last patch; previously we only had Normal and Low I think.
GPU usage is now looking normal, no more thrashing going on, seems fine over here.
