Haven't had a single TDR issue after I disabled hw acceleration from flash player and internet browsers. Every game I play except Killing Floor are stable with 290.53 so no reason to switch drivers at the moment.

I've learned to not believe nVidia's promises about driver integration, but what the hell, I'll ask.

They promised the first 295xx release would have a framelimiter - did they include that or just hope we forgot about it?

My system would only hang when playing the original Crysis, no matter what driver, I had to start the game in windowed mode to avoid this. Not a big deal.

It seems nvidia's focus is 3D which I find ironic, because I was an early adapter of 3d nvision about a year and a half ago and back then I complained about the lack of 3D support. I ditched the 3D and now it's become their main focus LOL. Oye.

I keep hearing how horrible Ati's drivers are, especially in regards to pengl, but I ask myself, what the hell uses ipengl anymore? If you want to load up a classic single-player of doom 3 or Quake 4, I can't see it having any issues. I also hear how bad their drivers are in general, yet I see consistent updates from amd and good reports from users who actually OWN the cards.

I'm really tempted to go ATI next upgrade. nVidia is just so slow with driver releases and then seem to people complete disasters like this driver.

Anyway, let me end my rant by asking my main question again - did they include a frame limiter with this release?

Crysis 2 is the only game with which I have such issues too. However it only happens with DX 11. Haven't tried this driver with it though.

since ive updated from gtx280 sli to the msi 570 ive has alot of tdr errors, i was going to rma the card as it was getting really bad, but so far these drivers seem stable for me,
i have only tested with bulletstorm and the game feels alot smoother and no crashing to desktop yet

Yes, it hangs with this game only so far, I think it's some kind of hardware related issue, maybe it happens with some specific configurations, the video card doesn't receive enough power, i don't know...

I got similar Error in Bf3 with 290.53 (crash to desktop),..The cause was gpu voltage too low, I was playing at 875mhz @ 1.031v and it got fixed when i raised to 1.037v. Also it removed jitter/loading new area micro stutter (fps micro drops), almost all of it.

Idk about this driver yet, im gonna try 64player TDM in few moments

    edit:
there is new digital audio section

You missed the point.... if you don't click Custom it auto installs it, if you aren't paying attention it gets installed much like tag along toolbars these days. Nope Nvidia just needs to have this option unchecked by default - read into the cases of drivers toasting cards and perhaps you will get the point.

By default it doesn’t update drivers automatically, all it does is check to see if there is a newer driver and let you know about it, it doesn’t install, or even download anything unless you manually ask it to.

Think SLI profiles are automatically updated, but I’m sure you have to enable that first in the update software anyway.

Issue here is unnecessary software being installed by default check...I'm sure any savvy tech person here can relate to wanting to control what goes on their machines. Sure its a extra check to watch for but not everyone knows, wouldn't hurt them to keep this out of the drivers when after all it is a "DRIVER" download not a update program you are downloading.

but I'm gettin a little off-topic so let me conclude this with the "driver" is working fine for me using Win7 64bit (fully updated) on two different cards a 430 and 570.... no issues in games or video playback.

Kinda hard to tell, FPS in Warzones seems a little better but hard to know if it was because of the maitenance today, because less strain on the servers or because of the drivers.

I have tried that too, bringing the voltage from 1.037V, the default one, to 1.050V. No result. Maybe I have a very bad chip (52% ASIC quality from GPUZ), and even if this card has a giant cooler, an 8 phase circuitry I can't run games normally. Why on earth it doesn't work with stock voltage? Its frequencies are even lower than others 560 Ti! I'm getting sick of this, my old GTX470 gave me many issues too, worse than these though.

Well it's nice the 100% fan bug is fixed but I was hoping more for an Arkham City SLI texture flicker fix, which is the only issue I have with current drivers. I'll test these and see if they improve or ruin anything noticable.
