Completely horrible for Battlefield 3, i was getting drops to 20-30fps using 290.36. Went back to 285.62 and now it runs at 60fps constant with Vsync.

Hopefully they fix this up with later 290.xx versions.

really? wonder why. our computers are almost identical, and i had no drops in performance like that. i lost a bit vs 285.79, but only a few frames ... strange!

i lost 2-3 fps in all games.

image quality on the other hand is one of the best of any drivers in the 200.xx series, this was evident with Saint's Row 3 textures look much better, less compression, less blurring etc. most games look sharper and more defined now.

i think i'll accept the trade off because i like the IQ.

fps stayed the same here, actually i got a small 1-2fps boost in most benchmarks.,

But i have one prob. with this driver, there is some strange TF2 mouse jitter - could be engine bug too, i saw they updated it like 10-15x times in the last 2weeks.. But then again it looked like its cured with 285.62 :nerd:

edit: i managed to eliminate some TF2 mouse jitter, i disabled Threaded optimization -off, its not perfect but its a start (80% better)..

lol as you know every pc is different even with identical hardware and software performance can be quite different.

i cleaned everything thoroughly and reinstalled the drivers, no change, 2-3 fps loss in games, no lag or stutters though all good and i love the image quality, simply outstanding, definitely well worth the fps loss which is very acceptable.

    i don't use any tweaking utility. :p

SLI-support in WoW vanished for me with these drivers (altough forcing AFR2 seem to work fine).

Not that the game needs a lot of GPU-juice, just noting it disappeared and that a single GTX 460 apparently can't keep more than around 45-50 FPS at 1920x1080 in Uldum outdoors.

Getting driver crashes in BF3 constantly with these. 560 ti. Overclocking anything over stocks also causes the driver to crash.

Reverting to latest WHQL fixes everything.

I get crash to desktops in a fair few games with these gtx 580's sli, I hope nvidia looks into this so the next driver WHQL will be compatible with most setups if not all,

bad artifacting in League of Legends with this driver...

i actually thought Assassins Creed Revelations broke my video card or something because i installed it around the same time as these, but i installed the new 295.18 and artifacts are gone (hopefully for good, we'll see)

HD Audio drivers cause BSOD, reverting back to older HD Audio drivers works.
