I've never ever used a registry cleaner or driver cleaner when doing a clean uninstall and reinstall of Nvidia drivers and never had a problem. Also since using the last few sets of drivers I have just installed over the top with no problems either.

You tried uninstalling and re-installing VLC, as i just tried it, and its fine, but previously i have had issues with VLC just randomly breaking, but never looked into it much as its not my main player.

Anyone compared this to older drivers with the BF3 beta, curious if that 38% is true or not.

I always uninstall/install drivers in this way:

    1. Uninstall your current PhysX and driver through the control panel.
    2. Restart and boot into safe mode (F8).
    3. Run Driver Sweeper and clean both PhysX and nVidia display drivers.
    4. Restart and boot to the regular desktop.
    5. Install the new driver.
    6. Restart.

In DI, in my case, there's an increase of performances no doubt.

My goal is to get some decent AA.

Im coming from 285.27 beta, and with my sli of 570 i couldn't play using the 0x0000F0C1 flag(SS)on 2xAA and 2xSGSS (in nvinspector). 45 fps but really shoppy. Now its way above 60 and smooth.
I dont know about that 38% gain, but its good.

i am globally happy with this set :D

Gpu usage always has been arround 60% for me, now and before, so i suppose the solution to this isn't out yet. (if that was a real issue) i don't care, just want decent fps with AA on

Just tried VLC player and its fine, make sure your not using alternative frame rendering(SLI) when running the player as this can cause the frames to be messed up when playing a movie, check your global settings either in nvidia control panel or nvidia inspector.

    Gone back to 285.27

Gone back to 285.27, these were causing more stutters in DXHR... :3eyes:

    Much happier with 285.27s.

Yah this works just fine and Nvidia added the option for Clean Install, which nukes the old driver and removes all the old profile settings, ect...

If you are talking about Dead Island my gpu usage is above 90% without vsync and forcing vsync on i have a steady 60fps.

For people who prefer Screen Tearing over V-Sync. So they can also have 60 FPS capped like us V-Sync users and keep the joy of Screen Tearing.

Fail! Registry Cleaner or CClearner. There is no need to use it if u know what ur doing.
