I guess it just doesn't work well for everyone then :) 280.36 works brilliant for me. 285.27 works fine while gaming and such, i just don't want it to idle at Browser clock speeds when i'm on the desktop.

I see a lot of complaining about fan noise with GPU's. If you knew about the loud GPU fan why did you buy the GPU in the first place.

It's indented... Fx' scrolling uses, indeed, Hardware Acceleration, but you can't turn it off. I really don't know why but it's a fact and not bug. I've GTX 460 too and while I browse, GPU usage is extremely smooth.

For instance, try IE 9 and you won't see the same behavior. That's because IE 9 does not accelerate the scrolling via GPU. Despite its GPU acceleration.

Seems that the source of scrolling's acceleration is different one.

If you read the "issues not resovled" section of the release notes for this driver it actualy lists this as a problem that they claim has been fixed. I refuse to use any 280xxx drivers because of this error. Right now I am perfectly happy running 275.33 which dose not have the 3d clock problem...

I have neither of those problems at the moment, at least if I keep away from my maximum overclock in some of the games that are too taxing.
Right now I'm using Firefox 6.02 and my clocks stay at the lowest level all the time. Maybe it's a special site or a plug-in being used which causes this?

For some strange reason Nvidia decided to change the way the 3D clocks spin up and slow down in the 280xxx release. 275 release never had this change so the clocks never had these issues.

These drivers run HOT on my rig. At idle,my top card is 51c, fan at 44 %, the bottom card is 54c fan speed 46%. Anyone else notice an increase in temps?

No, though I only have one GTX 580. Idle desktop temps are 39 C and games never exceed 75 C during load, with most being sub-70 C (since they tend to fairly undemanding console-led multiplatform games).

My GPU is running at normal low idle temps.

Some abnormalities i have seen with this release..

*Note* Clean install done, removal of old from c/p and driver sweeper in safe mode.

After install, destop went all wonky and icons were not redrawing and such.. that went away after reboot, just first time i ever saw that happen in 10+ years of nvidia drivers to me..

Second i got a message that my main monitor was not the FOcal point of SLI on the system, which is odd considering my monitor 1 is set as the default monitor.. But in NV COntrol panel the monitor 2 showed it was focal SLI monitor.. I was unable to change that..

I rebooted and message went away but i have to see when i get home if its the same or not.
