No offense but your performance problems with GTA are down to dated (and substandard) hardware.

Dont like to point it out, but AMD 3800 processor? That's almost 4 years old.

never mind this drivers are not designed for mobile use so i will stick with 180.70 for now....and one more thing there is much more performance on a system with a xp sp3 than vista sp1 !!!
I noticed double fps on xp sp3 than on a vista sp1
example : on my laptop core 2 duo 1.8 Gh with 3GB ram and a go 7600 was 7-8 fps but now on xp sp3 is 15-17 fps ... so think about this guys.

These drivers improved my fps in speed and stability, also the water bug is fixed along with the gray sea that engulfs your car.

Any possibility of you making a version for Vista 32 bit international? Please? :p

(Though english is my Vista language, cannot really fathom why I need to use international but it's another topic)

Empire Earth freeze-crashes while using this driver. Reverting back to 180.70 solved the problem. Admittedly the game is quite old and may not be compatible with new drivers any more.

Well this cheap trick has been going on for ages with NVIDIA making us THINK they squeeze performance out of their drivers when in reality they are simply creating game profiles and cheating by reducing IQ over performance. GTA IV is a piece of crap and a disgraceful PC port, the game is poorly optimized and totally untested - I recommend you stay with current official drivers anyways, you can probably get the same results by reducing your IQ yourself.........

I guess I'm the only one who's having problems with these drivers. They make GTA very slow and crash all the time. 180.60 & 180.70's work fine.

I got it to run without crashing now, but they are still much slower then the others for me. So going back to them.

I see where your comming from, but GTA4 performance is crap on my rig...and thats really sad. I get nothing but crash after crash in SLI or single GPU. With all 180.xx drivers I have tried....

Not to mention I get 1 FPS on medium details...wtf.....I hope its not a problem with the steam version.

@ GhostXL, its the game in general. Its very poorly coded. There must be at-least 100 documented Bugs with this game with at-least 1/4th of those being complete show-stoppers.

It's really sad because the 360 and PS3 versions of this game played so well. This PC port has to be one of the worst that I've ever seen, I mean really its as if they hired 100 chimps from the Zoo and made them port it.

So long story short, don't worry about your rig or your Steam version of the game. The game in general is the thing that's broken.
