Really? I tried with 2.20 and rivatuner say the driver is nto support and the fan control is missing. Speaking of which, is my 8800gt suppose to run this crazy hot? I tune the fan to 45% and the temperature is like at 67 degree.

That must be a Dual-Slot cooler.

Mine runs at 85c on average, I have even seen it get to 100c! (And, that's with the fan running at 100%)

I can create one using the language dlls from 180.70. It should have no effect on the driver (such as nv4_disp.dll, nv4_mini.sys, etc.) as those language dlls are only used for the CP. If you or anyone else wants to try, let me know and I'll upload it.

Edit: I have uploaded an International version for XP32. See my post on the first page of this thread for the link.

:( Unfortunately does not seem to remove completely the downclocking for me. X3:TC would operate at 3d clocks while in a menu but as soon as I went into the game they d/c. Maybe next time?

180.84 Support for dedicated PhysX GPU with SLI!!!

Finally! And to think I was going to sell my 8800GT this week too. I'm glad nvidia finally adressed this...

Well I can't say if it works with SLI settings or not. But considering my main card is a 9800GX2 and it would not allow it before, due to it's dual-GPU configuration, I'm sure it would work with SLI configs as well.

I'm running benchmarks right now, pretty good results. I'll make a thread in the Videocards vs. General Purpose section once I get them all in.

I have a 9800GTX, tested it on the older 177.92 (what I was running) vs the 180.84 drivers. Results follow:

It's not huge, but I'm also not complaining. It is curious to see it use significantly more CPU without anything else running in the background, though.

Not quite sure what you mean. The procedure requires more than just one file. It involves copying over all the language files from 180.70 International as well as replacing certain English-only setup files w/ the International-specific counterparts. The final step is to modify the 180.84 English-only INF to an International INF (which involves adding language file lines as well as their corresponding uninstall lines).

Well i guess i'm gonna finally try this after 177.83. Had problems with earlier 180 versions so haven't bothered trying last few. Hopefully these are 100% stable like 177.83's

Nice. Will certainly have to try these.
OT: Regarding all the whine about performance in GTA4. Do people with quadcores also see poor performance? (since the game was made for "more-than dual core" consolles) Have yet to try it.

These drivers perform better for me in Crysis and Far Cry 2 than the 180.48's did. No problems so far...
