These seem to run FC2 better than the 178.24's I was running and now the widescreen fix is out I can run in 16:10 @ 1680x1050 on Ultra High/High settings (except shadows low, HDR and Bloom off) with 4x AA and it's still playable for me on a 7950GT!! W00T!!!

Can't run the FC2 benchmark tool as it keeps crashing, and some other people are reporting it crashing on the UBI forums too!

    Average Framerate: 66,53
    Max. Framerate: 86,03
    Min. Framerate: 56,72

    what a nice game.

I used 180.42 not 180.43, and when I saw that he lost 7fps going to 180.43, I see no reason to try it.

The 180.43 were no good for me. this data is based on the built in benchmark.
    I am using a Dell xps m1730 x9000@3.0Ghz and 8800m gtx SLI. Vista x64 =
    all very high dx10 @ 1920x1200

I actually lost 7fps on average , when

    180.42 gave me a

    average fps= 50.00
    max fps= 80.74
    min fps= 35.09

    and

    180.43

    average fps= 43.17
    Max fps= 76.19
    min fps= 32.19

so its back to 180.42 for me

The same corruptions in graphics, like in 180.42 :(.

My experience is out of line of the rest of these posts but I did repeat my tests. This driver is fantastic for me. I don't have Far Cry 2 so I have no comment on that.

Here is what is good. The multi-monitor sli works. It worked with 180.42 but this performance is markedly improved.

This driver overclocks like crazy. I pushed the 3D Vantage GPU up to 10,903. My previous GPU high had been 9476 with 177.40. (The CPU results are not that relevant to me since PhysX came out.)

Also in the game Battlefield 2142 there is no problematic black screen with explosions or dying. That had been a problem since 178. It had improved with 180.42 but now it is solved. I have no explanation for this improvement if this driver is just such a minor tweak for Far Cry 2.

    Far Cry 2 w/ these drivers =

Total Frames: 3535, Total Time: 51.00s
    Average Framerate: 69.31
    Max. Framerate: 95.95 (Frame:534, 6.47s)
    Min. Framerate: 54.85 (Frame:2200, 30.73s)

Runs great on my system w/ max, dx10, and 1680/1050. Now if only the game wasn't completely boring lol.

Does NVIDIA System Performance Tools 6.03- 'fan control' work with 9600GT's with this driver?

I got the same score in the FC2 benchmark as I did in the 180.42, however, FC2 does seem to run smoother....I mean, it was already pretty smooth but even smoother now. Maybe it's placebo but I don't think so.

    FYI running Vista 64

well i dled them and tried them so far so good was able to play fc2 longer then i ever have strage that the other drivers would freeze only in fc2 almost like the gpus were getting hot even though they would never get above 52c
have not tried these with other games yet

Why the hell isn't Nvidia supporting AT THE VERY LEAST all of the GeForce 8 cards?

Guess my 8600GT is gonna be left out from now on hun?

I would like to know how some of you are running benchmarks without fan control??? Is the guy who reported it didn't work wrong? If I don't manually set fan speed in my GX2 (still on 178.13), temperatures will go thru the roof...

How are you controlling GPU fan speed with 180.43 drivers?

The fan on my 9800GX2 is being controlled nicely by the drivers and running cool. These drivers are VERY smooth and IQ is great!:)
