178.26 was originally a WHQL Quadro driver w/ support for only Quadro cards. I have added all 178.24 DeviceIDs to support all GF 5-9 and removed one Quadro-specific file. The PhysX exe. is not included to decrease the file size. This beta is dated 10/08/08, which is one day newer than 178.24 (10/07/08 ). As soon as 180.10 is leaked for XP32, I'll have that up as well.

Great driver. At least fixed my DV 33-66-100% bug! And Assassin's creed runs good again. No more pausing! Keepers. Quadro drivers always were kinda better for me.

I go by driver INF date, not the release date on the nv download page. As stated in OP, this is only 1 day newer than 178.24 and it's only a .02 increment in build. So, if you're already using 178.24, I probably wouldn't bother installing this (unless you got issues w/ 178.24).

Whether they're Quadro, mobile, regular, or whatever-labled driver...they all use the same core source files (ie nv4_disp.dll, nv4_mini.sys, etc.). The difference, really, is the INF entries for the respective cards.

Aaah that way, mostly the dates are the same or not having that much of a difference, as i remember.

but in that case you are absolutely right.

No... the difference is the quality management (QM for short) bound to this kind of drivers.
nVidia has a very good image in the industry... they won't loose it.

So quadro drivers should be released with quality in mind.
And these (ie 178.26) fulfill my expectation all way long!

they're really good, i always liked quadro drivers lol, i ran DMC4 benchmark and they're the best so far ( compared to 175.19, 177.83, 178.15); UT3 runs super smooth too, Grid also,... i only tried these 3 so far and can't complain.

Thanks for the effort, F_L_C, but there is no reason to start a new thread for a modded inf. You can include that without any problems in the original "Forceware 178.26 Quadro WHQL Drivers" thread.
